28 Years Later is a brand new story set in the same world as 28 Days Later. Set three decades after the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, some have found ways to exist alongside the infected while still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine. A group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single causeway. But when one of them leaves, he discovers wonders and horrors that have mutated both survivors and infected.

28 Years Later debuts exclusively in movie theaters on June 20, 2025. The film is directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland. Its executive producer is Cillian Murphy. It’s produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, Alex Garland.
