This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
The world of Boruto is more exciting than ever before right now, with Kishimoto and Ikemoto both doing incredibly well to establish some very overpowered characters in their story right from the very beginning of the sequel. If the first part of Boruto had strong characters, this one takes things to a completely different level.
It can be said that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has some of the strongest characters ever in the entire franchise. Naturally, quite a lot of these characters belong to the new generation, and while some may have trouble believing it, the fact is that they are stronger than Naruto Uzumaki at the moment.
Sarada Uchiha
Sasuke’s Very Own Daughter
Sarada is one of the main characters of the Boruto series and fans have seen her receive a ton of attention in Two Blue Vortex after being largely ignored in the first part. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has quickly given Sarada Uchiha some incredible fights and the biggest of them all was in the Land of Wind, where Sarada finally went on to clash against Ryu. Sarada has awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan now, and her gravity-controlling Jutsu, Ohirume, makes her incredibly overpowered. At this point in time, Sarada Uchiha is way stronger than the current version of Naruto Uzumaki, and that’s a fact.
Himawari Uzumaki
Naruto’s Daughter And Kurama’s Inheritor
Naruto’s daughter, Himawari Uzumaki is yet another character who the fans have come to absolutely love in Two Blue Vortex. Quite clearly, there was absolutely no focus being thrown on Himawari Uzumaki in the first part of the story, but things have changed drastically ever since then. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Himawari is all grown up and she’s a main driver of the plot now. Most importantly, Himawari now has access to the power of Kurama, which she received at some point after Naruto lost it. With her powers, Himawari was able to fight against Jura and even recover from some of the most deadly attacks. She can even save others from grievous injuries. At the moment, Himawari can do things Naruto can’t.
Kawaki
The Wielder Of Isshiki’s Karma
Among the Shinobi, Kawaki is one of the most powerful characters in the Boruto series right now. He is the Inheritor of the Karma of Isshiki Otsutsuki, as fans saw in the first part. Since the timeskip, he’s mastered his Karma fully. At the same time, Kawaki’s body has now been improved by Amado to be more dangerous offensively than ever before. His strength is such that he was even able to push back Jura in combat. At the moment, Naruto is no match for Kawaki in the story.
Boruto Uzumaki
The Wielder Of Momoshiki’s Karma
Boruto Uzumaki is yet another powerful new generation character that fans know is absolutely essential to the overarching story, especially since he’s the protagonist. Boruto Uzumaki trained relentlessly during the timeskip. He trained with Sasuke until he learned most Uchiha-style Jutsu, and later, he also trained under Kashin Koji, where he learned different powers that were invented by him in different timelines. Overall, Boruto Uzumaki is on the same level as Kawaki right now, and it is quite easy to see that he’s stronger than Naruto Uzumaki as well.
The Shinju
Newborn Ten-Tails
While most fans wouldn’t consider them new generation characters, the fact is that the Shinju are still only considered to be newborns. They’re just like babies and in that sense, they’re a part of the new generation of Boruto, only on the side of the enemies. The Shinju were created after the Ten Tails gained sentience following Code’s experiment with the Claw Marks.
The Claw Grimes sought out their desires, until eventually, they gained more than just a lust for desires. As the Claw Grimes fed on humans, their chakra gave birth to special God Tree humans, called the Shinju. Right now, they’re among the strongest characters in the whole story and the fans absolutely cannot wait to see what else they’re capable of. Naruto stands no chance against them at the moment.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s chapter 28 is set for its official release on November 20, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
