The early access build of RuneScape Dragonwilds might already have a few quests for you to try, but the built-in system doesn’t explain them in great detail.

As you explore the lands of Ashenfall, you can complete primary and sidequests as you like. While the main quests should be your priority, as they will help you reach the end goal faster, prioritizing the different quests is an important ability.

How to view your quests in RuneScape Dragonwilds

While the game has a Journal system, the quests aren’t shown there (unless I have gone blind). However, you can view all your current quests by pressing the M button, which opens up the map. You’ll find all the available quests on the left side of the screen.

You can activate and deactivate a sidequest by clicking on it. There’s no such option for the main quest, as only one is active at a time (Dragon Slayer is the final one available in the current build at the time of writing).

Any POI related to the quest will be shown on the map. However, you don’t have to open the map repeatedly since RuneScape Dragonwilds also uses a marker system. A golden exclamation mark denotes where you need to be to complete a task for the main quest. Similarly, a blue exclamation mark will denote the location of a task related to a sidequest. In case of a sidequest, you’ll need to mark it as active so the marker can appear on your screen.

Which quests should you complete first in RuneScape Dragonwilds?

Your priority should be to complete the main quests and the missions that are part of it. There are several great reasons why you should do that.

  • Allows you to scale up gradually and unlock new recipes, items, and more.
  • Helps you to power up your character and make it easier for you to clear all in-game content.
  • The main quests also provide amazing rewards for clearing them.
  • It helps you level up your skills and take them up to level 99 (at least get them to level 49 first to unlock all the unlockables).
  • Unlock new areas of the map and all the adventures locked in them.
  • Take on Velgar, who is the final boss. Of course, the contents will expand in the future with new expansions.

Hence, main quests should be the way to go. However, there are some really fun sidequests like Restless Ghosts. You can complete them to get some valuable rewards, such as tomes, which will allow you to level up the skills that you want, which becomes important for your in-game progression.
