The document itself was attached to the group’s consolidated financial report for Q3 2025, which is available on CD Projekt’s investor website. The “gaming project” designation mentioned in the report is wide enough to potentially include a story expansion rather than a brand-new game. Meanwhile, the stated release timeline would match the original rumor about new content for The Witcher 3 being in the works for 2026.

During a separate earnings call from January 2026, CD Projekt joint CEO Michał Nowakowski said the company would have more information later this year on a new project from Fool’s Theory, the Polish studio currently working on The Witcher 1 remake. Since the remake isn’t expected to materialize before 2028, the 2026 announcement will presumably be centered on a different project.
