A creative Pokemon Pokopia player has recreated a Pokemon Center store within the sandbox game, complete with all the plush toys fans would find in a real-world store. The new Pokemon spin-off, developed by Omega Force, has been a huge hit with fans of the franchise since its launch in early March, quickly becoming one of the biggest releases in the entire series. Pokemon Pokopia sold more than 2 million units worldwide within just four days of its launch, and stands as the highest-rated Pokemon game of all time. Pokemon Pokopia‘s fans have also been inspired to construct some stunning in-game builds.
Pokemon Pokopia has inspired plenty of fans to craft some truly impressive creations within the game. Pokopia‘s similarities to Minecraft provide significant freedom with how players lay out and build up their islands, allowing players to craft elaborate homesteads and massive buildings. Some fans have even looked to bring real-world locations into the Pokemon franchise, including one fan who built an entire apartment complex for their Pokopia villagers. Now, one Pokopia player is showing off their stunning replica of a real-life Pokemon Center store in the game.

Pokemon Pokopia Fan Builds In-Game Pokemon Center Store
Pokemon Pokopia fan kami_kun shared their impressive Pokopia store on their personal Twitter account. The stunning build boasted a flashy and elaborate entrance, lined with Poke Ball statues and Pokemon posters hanging from the walls. The main area of the store included several shelves stuffed to the brim with Pokemon plush toys, featuring in-game dolls of Pikachu, Arcanine, Clefairy, and more. The Pokopia player decorated another room of the store with a variety of Pokemon-themed furniture, showcasing a Snorlax bed, Azumarill bathtub, and Munna piggy bank. The stunning Pokemon Pokopia store looks to replicate the looks and feel of the real-world Pokemon Center stores, stacked from wall-to-wall with Pokemon merchandise. The chain of Pokemon-themed stores has more than 20 locations throughout Japan and Taiwan, with most found within the franchise’s home country. Nintendo formerly operated a Pokemon Center store in New York City during the height of the Pokemon craze in the early 2000s, though it was later replaced with the Nintendo World Store and eventually Nintendo New York. Pokemon also operates an online Pokemon Center store, which has become a popular destination for fans to purchase both Pokemon merchandise and Pokemon TCG products.
The impressive Pokemon Pokopia store is just one of a plethora of stunning in-game builds in Pokemon Pokopia. Many fans have looked to use the game to reimagine their favorite locations from the main-series games, with one fan building a full-scale recreation of the Bell Tower from Pokemon Gold and Silver. Some players have looked to create larger-scale projects in the game, including an in-progress re-creation of the entire Kanto region within the game’s main sandbox area of Palette Town. Many in-game builds also use the game’s mechanics to their advantage, creating automated systems to farm resources.
Pokemon Pokopia‘s early success has already seen some post-launch support from Omega Force and The Pokemon Company. Pokopia launched its first event just days after the release of the game, which saw Hoppip visit each of the Pokemon Centers and ask players to collect Cotton Spores from Dream Islands. The game’s first event added some exclusive floral cosmetics currently only available through Hoppip’s store, with More Spores for Hoppip scheduled to conclude on March 24. Pokemon Pokopia‘s early popularity has primed the game for long-term success, already making it a mainstay of the young Switch 2’s library.
