One dedicated fan swore he would eat a picture of Todd Howard (the director and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studios) of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion rumors proved true. Well, let no one say he’s not a man of his word.
The Remake of The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion is the talk of he town. These last couple of days were loaded with leaks, rumors, and assumptions about the game, whether it will even release, when, is it will be a shadow drop or not, is anything of this is actually true, and so on. The situation is so insane and the fans don’t know who to trust anymore, that when rumors that something important will be announced on April 21 started circulating, one fan swore he’ll do something insane if we get some actual news on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake.

The skepticism about the Oblivion Remake announcements was reaching its peak, especially with the rumors that something big will happen on April 21. So much so that one fan, named HaloEnjoyer1987, vowed to eat a picture of Todd Howard if any of that proves true.
It all began on a Reddit post where skeptical players stated that absolutely nothing would happen with Oblivion. One user, named bmrtt, went so far as to say: “Watching oblivillennials gaslight themselves and promptly have a mental breakdown when it doesn’t work out is my newest kink. If this [thing] actually releases today I will print out a grayscale picture of God Howard and eat it on camera.” This prompted HaloEnjoyer1987 to join him, saying: “You know what brett, i’ll join you in that if the remake comes out.”
Well, we all saw the official announcement, and while bmrtt had an excuse ready, HaloEnjoyer1987 was a man of his word.
In a pretty hilarious live display, HaloEnjoyer1987 filmed himself looking at the official announcement posted on April 21 while slowly eating a sizable photo of Todd Howard. The video lasts about 10 minutes and was shared on various subreddits, like Oblivion, TrueSTL, and ElderScrolls, so be sure to check them out.
A hat’s off to HaloEnjoyer1987 for being the man of his word, and unsurprisingly, the community is amazed by his commitment. “Legend! A little spoiler, but the man got a bit sick at the end, so we hope he’s alright now.
