Silent Hill f is Getting a New Ending, But Not in the Video Game

Silent Hill f writer Ryukishi07 has come up with a new ending for the game’s narrative, but it will only appear in the upcoming manga adaptation. Released in 2025 by Konami and developer NeoBards Entertainment, Silent Hill f is a very different take on the beloved survival horror franchise. While previous games were set in the series’ namesake American town, Silent Hill f takes place in Japan in the 1960s. The game follows new protagonist, Hinako Shimizu, a high school student who finds her own town covered in the franchise’s familiar fog, alongside plenty of horrific creatures.

Hinako’s story features five possible endings in Silent Hill f, and some of them are much darker than others. Horror stories don’t always have happy endings, and that’s absolutely the case in Silent Hill f. The game rewards players for going through the game multiple times, as all players get one ending by default, a second becomes available during another playthrough, and the final three can only be found through the New Game Plus mode. To experience all five endings, players have to put in a significant amount of work, and not everyone is willing to do what it takes to see everything Konami’s game has to offer.

Silent Hill: Townfall’s most exciting features, including the CRTV and first-person combat, promise a thrilling new chapter for the legendary series.

Silent Hill f’s Sixth Ending

In a post on Twitter, Konami celebrated the six-month anniversary of Silent Hill f by revealing that a sixth ending has been written by Ryukishi07 exclusively for the game’s manga adaptation. The manga will feature art by Ame Gokin, and the first piece of art was also revealed. Silent Hill f‘s manga adaptation will be published in a serialized format through Young Ace UP. Unfortunately, Konami has not offered any information about a release date, or a potential localization for the manga. Given the positive reception to Silent Hill f, it would be disappointing if the adaptation remained exclusive to Japan. Hopefully, Konami will shed more light on the manga soon, and fans outside Japan will get a chance to read it and experience the new ending for themselves.

It will be interesting to see how the new ending differs from every other option in Silent Hill f. It’s possible Ryukishi07 will take advantage of the manga format to offer something that might not have worked within the confines of the game. It’s also possible this is something the writer came up with after the game was already available, and the manga offered an opportunity to do something different. At the very least, this could be the perfect hook to get Silent Hill f fans to check out the manga. Not every video game fan regularly reads manga, even if it’s an adaptation of a game they already love. The strong narrative helped make Silent Hill f one of the best horror games of 2025, and the promise of a different ending is a strong incentive to see what the manga has to offer.

The Silent Hill franchise is in something of a renaissance at the moment. After years of neglect from Konami, the publisher has started to put a huge focus on the series. In 2024, Konami partnered with Bloober Team for a remake of Silent Hill 2, and 2025 saw the arrival of Silent Hill f. The yearly release schedule will continue on PS5 and PC at some point this year, but Silent Hill: Townfall will not be coming to Xbox platforms at launch. Bloober Team is also working on a remake of the original Silent Hill, but little information about the project has been revealed thus far. Silent Hill fans are getting slightly spoiled right now, and if Konami can keep the quality high, the series could continue to draw in new fans.
