An “Ask Me Anything” session is a popular way of interacting with the community, and it is not the first time that TFD devs have done it. However, Nexon just announced a new Discord AMA session for April, but The First Descendant players are having none of it. Let’s see why that is.
It has been a while since we had an AMA session with the TFD devs. The last one happened in February, where the devs revealed some of their plans, like streamlining the Colossi farming, more open-world content (confirmed for Season 3), or what they plan to (not) do with the Outposts. Sounds pretty cool, so when Nexon announced a new Discord AMA session for April, you’d expect that the fans would be excited. Well, that is not the case.
A New The First Descendant AMA Session Announced for April 24
On April 23, Nexon announced that they will hold a new AMA Session on Discord. It will be held from April 24 at 10pm PDT to April 30 at 2am PDT.
As before, they will open a specific channel on Discord where the fans can post their questions, and the devs will answer some of them. Six days is a long time, so we expect a lot of questions to be answered.

So, what’s the issue?
The First Descendent Players Have Issues With Q&As on Discord and Reddit, Due to Recent Events
Nexon made some steps quite recently that were not very well received by the community. As it turns out, a while ago, one player on Discord demanded that Serena’s wings get removed from certain skins. Nexon did so in recent updates, but it backfired. A huge part of the community condemned that decision, saying that they like Serena with wings, as she was originally intended to be, and that Nexon based their actions on the comments of one man. And now, some trust has been lost, and when the devs declared that an AMA session would be on Discord (as usual), the players gave them a piece of their mind.
“In game Surveys/Questionnaire would be a much better way to get real feedback from your players, not just a few handpicked Discord/Reddit people…” said Say10z3fz, and “Discord is horrible to take feedback, all recent change is bad because you guys listen to much discord cry babies.” added siberif735, and those are just a couple of many similar comments.
While there are various types of people on every platform, a general questionnaire would indeed be a bit better. However, we are sure that there will be some good questions posted on Discord, and hopefully, Nexon will focus on those, rather than try to pander to a minority.
