Sure enough, the Major Order wasn’t as simple as the Helldivers thought it would be! Pilen V is yet again under attack, and J.O.E.L has done pretty much everything in their power to complicate the Helldivers 2 players’ lives. So, what exactly is going on?
Pilen V Is Under Attack, but…
As you probably know, the current Major Order has been a bit different. The MO sent players to fend off five Squid attacks and “liberate” 1,25 billion Voteless. However, the players quickly noticed that the Squids were repeatedly attacking three planets. Pilen V, Fenrir III, and Turing.
Well, the Helldivers reached the five successful defenses against the Squids quite easily. However, lots of Voteless are still waiting to be freed from the Illuminate. So, it wasn’t surprising when an Informational Advisory revealed that repelling Illuminate attacks would give players some “liberated” Voteless as a bonus.

As the MO continued, new attacks were launched on Turing and Fenrir III. Unfortunately, both of these defenses failed. On Fenrir III, the constant attacks took a toll on the scientists, so while they are catching their breath, the Helldivers’ stim capacity will be reduced to 2. Don’t worry, Turing is also in a problem. The Xenoentomology Center was damaged, and some mutated bugs got loose. This planet is now under attack by the Predator strain.

Finally, a couple of hours ago, Pilen V was attacked, yet again. So far, it’s been attacked several times, and the Helldivers have successfully taken care of every attack. Recent leaks connected this planet to a content update and an attack on Super Earth, so the last couple of days have been quite stressful. According to the latest SE Broadcast, the Generator that should stop the Meridian Singularity is almost done, so it’s extremely important that the Helldivers fend off the Squids.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Glad That J.O.E.L Is Giving Them a Hard Time
Surprisingly enough, the Helldivers 2 community is actually excited that J.O.E.L decided to throw another attack on Pilen V. Maybe it’s the excitement over all the future possibilities, or, more likely, it’s just the fact that J.O.E.L changed the pace. Major Orders are usually quite straightforward, so not knowing what’s to come is actually fun, but also frustrating.
One player, Atown-Staydown, noted: “This is AH learning and listening. Variable, variable, something different. You don’t like squids? BOOM, Predator strain”.
Sharpshooter_200 added: “See, that’s the kind of MO tinkering I like to see, we’re a bit behind on the kill count, so they give us an opportunity to shore up those numbers, that’s contingent on successfully defending invasions. Along with a fitting in-game explanation as well”.
The effort that the devs are putting in is noticeable. Just like the previous MO dealt with gambits, this one gave players real-time consequences of their actions. These changes might be small, but they contribute quite a lot. So, dear Helldiver, meet us on Pilen V. For Liberty and Super Earth.
