What on Super Earth is going on? The Illuminate have been acting highly suspicious lately. The closer the Super Earth scientists are to stopping the Meridian Singularity, the more erratic the Illuminate behavior is. The Squids’ latest move has confused quite a lot of Helldivers 2 players, as they have attacked Tibit, a planet deep in the Severin Sector, quite close to Malevelon Creek. What are they up to?
The Squids Attacked a Planet in the Severin Sector
As you know, the current Major Order sends the players to liberate Turing and to complete 625k Operations (on Medium or higher) against the Illuminate. Completing the MO should finally stop the Meridian Singularity.
However, don’t expect the Squids to give up without a fight! For the last couple of days, the Illuminate have been attacking the planets of critical strategic importance, such as Pilen V. Also, they’ve been attacking planets all over the Galactic map.
On the morning of April 28, the Squids popped up on Tibit, a planet way too close to the Creek for anyone’s liking. An incursion alert noted: “Illuminate forces have attacked Tibit. Derelict Automaton factories are located on the planet, but little else of strategic interest. The enemy rationale for targeting this planet is unknown”.
At the time of writing this article, around 9k players are fighting the Illuminate on Tibit. They have around five and a half hours left to defend the planet. Unfortunately, by the looks of it, the Helldivers won’t succeed.
Helldivers Think There’s More to Squids’ Attack on Tibit
Of course, some Helldivers 2 players have found it hard to believe that the Squids attacked this planet in the Severin Sector for nothing. Why would the Illuminate wander so far away from Pilen V, the planet they’ve attacked numerous times over the last week or so? Well, Helldivers have various theories.
RedVodka1 noted: “We know from the first galactic war that they were an extremely advanced but peaceful civilization, and as such as the ‘weapons’ they used were mostly not originally meant for war. What if they are trying to copy our military technology and augment it with their advanced technology, thus stealing our centuries of military progress and experience in that they lack?”.
MrMagnetTheGuy added: “Mastia, Achernar Secundus, Claorell, Fenrir, and now, Tibit. Before the argument could be made, they were hitting important Super Earth infrastructure sites, but now I’m not so sure, it seems like they’re gathering resources for something”.
Obviously, the community is starved for some new content, so the majority of theories (if not all) include the full roster of Illuminate finally joining the Galactic War. There are some indications that an update is close, but nothing is official yet. So, join us on Tibit, let’s try our best to finish this MO with flying colors. For Liberty and Super Earth.
