Get Ready for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Story Trailer, Gameplay Video, and Reviews, Dropping on January 23

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the long-awaited (and the most controversial) AC title. Finally, the story is set in Japan, and it follows two protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. However, the game is riddled with controversy. The first is the divide between the players, one group praising the diverse cast of characters, while the other condemns Ubisoft for going out of their way to “check all the boxes”. Add to that the not-so-graceful treatment of the concerned fans, and not one but two release delays, and you get the idea why the majority is very skeptical about Shadows. But, we’re in for some great stuff for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, as we will get an almost-simultaneous release of a story trailer, and gameplay video, and the official reviews will come in, all on January 23.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Release a Story Trailer, Gameplay Video, and Game Reviews on January 23

Fans are in for a triple-treat on January 23 as it is the day the review embargo ends, a story trailer goes live, and we get a two-hour-long gameplay video.

For the story trailer, Ubisoft said: “Get ready for the World Premiere of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Story trailer. Watch it live tomorrow, January 23, at 9AM PT | 6PM CET.” This means the trailer is about to go live any minute now. We expect it will be shared on their YouTube and X pages.

At the same time, a huge gameplay video will go live as well, on Ubisoft’s Twitch channel. They posted: ”Tune in for two hours of Assassin’s Creed Shadows gameplay on January 23 at 9AM PT on http://twitch.tv/ubisoft! Chat with the Game Director as we pursue a high-ranking target and explore the Harima Province with Naoe and Yasuke.”

Finally, JorRaptor, a well-known Content creator, posted that he played Assassin’s Creed Shadows. “Coverage starts January 23rd, with a really cool surprise as well You don’t want to miss it…”

We all saw how Dragon Age: Veilguard fared with the review embargo and the supposed removal of anything that sheds a negative light on the game. Hopefully, this won’t be the situation with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Stay tuned.
