Crimson Desert’s latest update makes sure you can always look at Kliff’s generic mug and makes running much less annoying

Crimson Desert appears to be changing quicker than a musical theatre actor that has 90 seconds to put on a new outfit before their next number is up. A new update arrived in the action RPG earlier today, bringing with it nothing particularly revolutionary, but several tweaks that’ll probably make you say something to the effect of “oh nice, that’ll be handy.”

First up, storage! Your private storage is increasing from 240 slots up to a maximum of 1000. This is entirely dependent on your Greymane camp expansion, with each expansion offering a set number of additional slots. There’s also an entirely cosmetic addition for those that want a good look at Kliff’s mug. Now available is a headgear visibility toggle, which allows you to hide any headgear you have on. Specifically you’ve got four options to choose from: always show, show in combat, hide in cutscenes, and always hide.

One of the most welcome changes, I imagine, will be the new movement controls option. There are two options two choose from now, basic and classic, which affects what you need to do to sprint. For basic, simply holding down whatever you have assigned as the sprint key will get you moving quickly. Whereas, if you want to tire out your fingers for some strange, sadistic reason, classic requires you to repeatedly tap the sprint key to accelerate. This also affects how you lose stamina, too; basic movement controls see your stamina bar being consumed at set intervals, and classic movement controls see it go down every time you hit the sprint key.

You’ll also find a bunch of other fixes and tweaks, though I must say that obviously the most important addition is that there is a new armour set and helmet for cats. All the other points in the patch notes are moot, who gives a hoot! Oh, you do? Right, well, you can read them all right here for more of an in-depth read, I suppose.
