It’s always exciting to find out that your favorite character is joining your favorite game. The Marvel Universe is incredibly big, so the character roster in Marvel Rivals feels quite limited. There are some amazing picks, of course, but some great characters didn’t make the cut. Sure enough, the roster will grow in time, so don’t worry. The new leaks showed five X-Men characters that will probably join Marvel Rivals at some point.
Leaks Reveal Five X-Men Characters and Their Abilities
A Marvel Rivals leaks account, XOXLEAK, shared the exciting news with the community. This account listed all the characters that were to join the game, their classes, and their abilities. Without further ado, the characters are Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and Beast. All of this information is reportedly in the game files. Keep in mind that the devs can make some changes or decide not to release some of these characters/features.
First up, we have Gambit. According to these leaks, Gambit will be a Duelist. Also, his abilities will reportedly be “Kinetic Energy Card”, “Energy accumulation”, “Node Card Array-Projection”, and “Node Card Array-Recycling”.
Next, Rogue will supposedly join Strategists. Her abilities are said to be: “Ability to draw”, “Ability Acquisition-Skill One”, “Ability Acquisition-Skill Two”, and “Ability Acquisition-Skill Three”.
As for Jubilee, at the time of writing this article, it’s still unknown which class she will be. Players suggested she would make a great Strategist. Her abilities should be: “Fireworks”, “Atomic Bomb”, and “Atomic Bomb-Excitation”.
Nightcrawler is rumored to be a Duelist. As for his abilities, reportedly, they’ll include: “Foil Style”, “Epee Style”, and “Phase shift”. Finally, Beast’s class is still unknown, but he’ll have some cool abilities. They include: “Dexterity”, “Field Experiment”, and “Intelligence analysis”.
Marvel Rivals Players Are Intrigued by Rogue’s Class
Marvel Rivals players had lots to say about these leaks of X-Men characters. According to fans, the most controversial decision so far was making Rogue a Strategist. One player noted: “IF these leaks are true, Rogue absorbs life force, why is she a Strategist? I hope it’s not true or you change your approach because she would be super cool as a Duelist or Vanguard”.
Another player suggested that Rogue being a Strategist might actually be a cool twist. They noted: “I know Rogue may seem strange as a Strategist, but is there a chance she’s the first Anti-Heal character? She prevents enemies from receiving healing or buffs, maybe even taking the healing/buffs? Or maybe even taking debuffs from allies”.
We can’t wait to find out! However, keep in mind that there are plenty of leaked characters already, and if the devs keep releasing them at the same pace, it will be a while before any of these drop.
