Should You Distract or Attack in Life is Strange Reunion?

During the “Mabon” party scene at the Abraxas house in Life is Strange: Reunion, you need to make the decision to either attack or distract the man with the sledgehammer. Thankfully, even though the game marks this as a “major decision,” there are absolutely no story consequences attached to the choice.

The only thing this decision changes is whether you pick up the “Blueprints” optional evidence (by choosing to attack), which you need to unlock the “Major Gumshoe” Trophy/Achievement in Life is Strange: Reunion. This evidence can also help you make the correct choice when it comes to who to accuse of starting the fire — but it’s not required to make the right decision, it just makes it easier.

How to get all three endings in LIS: Reunion, including the “best” and “worst” endings.

Should You Distract or Attack in Life is Strange Reunion?

You should attack the man with the sledgehammer in Life is Strange: Reunion. You should do this because there are no benefits to picking distract, whereas attacking the man makes him drop the “Blueprints” optional evidence, which you need in order to get the “Major Gumshow” Trophy/Achievement.

Don’t worry about this choice coming back to haunt you later on, as even though the game calls it a “major decision,” it has absolutely no effect on the events that take part after the Mabon party. The only reason it’s labeled a “major decision” is to mark this choice as important for collectible-hunting. As well as being required for a Trophy/Achievement, if you want to naturally work out who started the fire on your own, you must pick up the Blueprints.

You don’t need the Blueprints to accuse the correct person of starting the fire — but it helps single out who the culprit is, to make the decision easier.

If you choose to distract the man with the sledgehammer during the “Mabon” scene in Life is Strange: Reunion, Chloe plays a siren sound from her phone to trick the man into thinking the police are outside. The man walks off of his own choosing, and Chloe has a funny interaction with Reggie, where we see that Reggie believes the police are coming as well, so he leaves the room in a hurry.
