“Enough Is Enough.” Nexon Just Fixed a Beneficial Bug in The First Descendant, Disappointing Many Players

Well, we had our fun, but Nexon just fixed a beneficial bug in The First Descendant, which did more good than harm, and the players loved it. We just can’t have nice things.

On April 17, we got the famous Ultimate Blair patch, which also added new External Components to the game, the new Medal system, various other items like Modules and Emotes, and, of course, some new in-game events. Nexon has been pretty generous with their events, and this time we got “Blair’s Protection of Ingris” and the already familiar “Weekly Fire Support” event. Concerning the latter, the players noticed that the weekly challenges reset daily, instead of waiting for the next week to change, and naturally, everyone jumped at the opportunity to get some extra goodies. But playtime is over.

The Beneficial Bug For the Weekly Fire Support Event Has Been Fixed

During the last week, everyone enjoyed getting some more Ion Accelerators and Dimension Analyzers due to challenges resetting daily. But, just before Week 4 began, the devs released a maintenance-free hotfix, where they fixed the constantly resetting challenges.

The players knew this was too good to be true, but they’re still somewhat disappointed. “was fun while it lasted, boys! GG LOL” said one player. Others jokingly state that this should have been a feature, not a bug.

However, some are way more irritated by the whole situation in TFD right now, stating that this “bug” is what kept them logging in into the game at all. “So, in a game with no content and a bleeding player base, you’re basically “fixing” one of the few reasons people actually had to log in to the game and play it…” said DBaptistaSilva, and “nd the reason to login once a day has now been “fixed”…” added xBloodySin.

Lastly, there are those more glass-half-full types who are thankful that Nexon waited for the event Week to end before implementing the fix.

In any case, while we are thankful that they are keeping watch on all the errors that need fixing, even though they could also take a look at the audio bug that PS users are suffering from. It stopped being funny ages ago.
