Where to find Cyrodilic Brandy in Oblivion Remastered

If you plan on completing the Sanguine quest and adding the Sanguine Rose staff to your arsenal in Oblivion Remastered, the first step will be to get a bottle of Cyrodilic Brandy.

But even if not as rare as Shadowbanish Wine, finding the item can still be a challenge if you don’t know where to start looking. Here’s where to find Cyrodilic Brandy in Oblivion Remastered and how to complete the Sanguine quest.

Where to get Cyrodilic Brandy in Oblivion Remastered

You can find bottles of Cyrodilic Brandy in Oblivion Remastered in a few locations, including inside Odiil Farm and Castle Skingrad. The easiest to find and get, however, can be spotted on Cloud Ruler Temple’s West Wing. To reach it, go up the stairs and head to the first room on the left.

If you don’t have access to the temple, you can purchase Cyrodilic Brandy by heading to the Guilded Girrafe or The Main Ingredient in the Imperial City’s Market District. Alternatively, Bravil’s Lonely Suitor Lodge also sells them. The bottles are priced around 150G, no matter your store of choice.

You can trigger the Sanguine quest in Oblivion Remastered by offering your newly acquired Cyrodilic Brandy to the Shrine of Sanguine, which will cause its Daedra to task you with using the Stark Reality spell while at Countess Alessia Caro’s dinner party at Castle Leyawiin. If you haven’t found the shrine yet, you can do so by heading to the spot marked below, north of Skingrad. You must be on at least level 8 to start the quest.

With your goal set, the next step is to get formal wear by buying a Velvet Outfit at Imperial City’s Divine Elegance. On higher difficulties, brew or buy an Invisibility Potion. Once dressed and ready, enter Castle Leyawiin at noon and talk to the guard below. For him to let you into the party, his disposition must reach 70+.

Now that you have entered the party, cast Stark Reality while focusing on the main table to complete your task. If you brew it, drop your Invisibility Potion on any of the corners before casting. Trust me, you will need it for what is to come.

The spell will then cause all nearby to lose their items/spells (including you), while turning the whole castle hostile. To escape the situation and avoid arrest, start running or drink your dropped Invisibility Potion to lose the guards. After escaping the town, fast travel to the Shrine of Sanguine and interact with it to complete the quest and get the Sanguine Rose staff. While at the shrine, don’t forget to open the nearby chest to get your belongings back.
