Crusader Kings 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are easily two of the best and most historically accurate medieval games ever made, and despite one being a grand strategy game and the other being an open-world RPG, they have both come together for a small crossover. At no additional cost, players can take on the role of Henry of Skalitz in their CK3 campaigns while listening to some of KCD2‘s best soundtracks. Meanwhile, in KCD2, it’s possible to find a book called Three Crusader Kings.

How To Play As Henry Of Skalitz In CK3
To actually play as everyone’s favorite blacksmith’s son, Henry, players will require the Roads to Power DLC for CK3, as this makes Landless Adventurers playable.
As opposed to a ruler, such as a king or duke, Landless Adventurers in CK3 roam the map, completing contracts, fighting wars as mercenaries, and leveling up their camp and band of followers. However, with enough gold and power, these adventurers can become landed rulers, starting a dynasty of their own.
To step into Henry’s shoes:
- Select any start date.
- Go with the ‘Play as any Ruler or create your own‘ option in the bottom left.
- In the top right, select the Landless Rulers tab.
- Master Henry of the Band of Bastards should be the top option.
He will have Henry’s Longsword in his possession, so make sure to equip it for some buffs.
Interacting With Henry As A Ruler In CK3
Even without the Roads to Power DLC, Henry will still be a character in the game. As any local ruler, use the Find Character function at the bottom. Use this to search for characters of the Kobyla House, and Henry should be there.
You can marry daughters to Henry, invite him to court, or even land him as a vassal. Even if players don’t interact directly with Henry, they may face him in battle or encounter him randomly if playing in his area.
Radzig Kobyla’s Longword Or Henry’s Longsword In CK3
The medieval world of CK3 is full of historical artifacts and those made during the course of a playthrough. While some can be displayed in throne rooms, others are more personal and can be worn by a character to give them certain buffs. As part of the crossover, Radzig Kobyla’s sword, a primary focus of both KCD games, can now be found. It will either be called Radzig Kobyla’s Longsword or Henry’s Longsword.
One way to do so is part of the new ledger system (Shift + F1 or an icon at the bottom), as artifacts can be browsed in the ledger. The sword should appear at the top as it is one of the best in the game.
How to Play as Ser Duncan the Tall in Crusader Kings 3’s AGOT Mod

Trosky Castle In CK3
Some castles, religious buildings, and monuments have special models on the map in Crusader Kings 3. Zooming into Bohemia, players should now be able to see Bezdez county, north of Boleslav. This is where Trosky Castle can be built by players, and bringing up the option will even show custom art.
This feat is most easily achieved by a Duke or King of Bohemia who can muster the gold, and upon doing so, the unique model of Trosky Castle should appear. The real castle was built in the 14th century, so after CK3’s start dates.

New Crusader Kings 3 Content In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
There isn’t as much CK3 content in KCD2 by comparison, with the only addition being a new book called Three Crusader Kings. It can be found in a few locations on both of the open-world maps, so players should be able to grab it no matter which stage of the game they are up to. It’s also worth noting that players can travel back and forth between the regions in KCD2 once the Kuttenberg region is unlocked.
The book tells the story of the Third Crusade in the late 12th century, which includes historical characters such as Richard the Lionheart, Frederick Barbarossa, Phillip II of France, and Saladin, making for a fascinating read.

The book can also be found in the Sedletz Monastery Library, on a bookcase opposite the door, slightly to the left. However, this requires the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC for KCD2.
