SanDisk India has just launched its WD Black SN8100 PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSD in the market. Given that the SN8100 lineup comes with PCIe Gen 5.0 connectivity, enabling faster transfer speeds, the company is targeting high-end gaming and content creation. SanDisk WD Black SN8100 PCIe NVMe SSD Features
According to the claims from SanDisk, the SN8100 NVMe SSD can offer data transfer speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s. For gamers, on paper, such speeds mean faster game loading time, effortless high-quality gameplay recording, and more. Theoretically, these gains should be especially apparent in areas where your system has to push harder.
The product claims also state that these new PCIe Gen 5.0 SSDs are 100% more power efficient than Sandisk’s Gen 4.0 SSDs. To address the demands of users across different segments, the SN8100 will be available in capacities of up to 8TB.

The WD Black SN8100 NVMe PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD series will also include the same models with an integrated heatsink. This heatsink will feature a low-profile passive cooling design and a customisable RGB LED.
WD Black SN8100 PCIe NVMe SSD: Price in India and Availability
The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD is available at all leading IT reseller partners and e-commerce platforms. Currently, it is available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacity options with both heatsink and non-heatsink options. An 8TB variant of the SSD is set to release later in the Indian market. The 1TB variant of SN8100 without the heatsink is priced at INR (₹)17,499, and with the heatsink is priced at ₹18,999. SanDisk did not share the pricing for the rest of the models at the time of publishing.
