In a surprisingly nice move, Ubisoft Brazil congratulates Sandfall Interactive for their success with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
When Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took the scene by storm, some gamers started comparing it to other popular games that have also been recently released. One of the favorite comparisons was against Ubisoft’s latest titles: Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and Skull and Bones. Both of those games were pretty hyped for quite a while, and Shadows was notorious for being delayed several times.
So, when Clair Obscur released and took over the whole gaming scene, some folks claimed that it was a victory against Ubisoft, and that Ubisoft are probably pretty miffed that a small and practically unknown studio managed such a feat. But, it looks like things are quite the opposite.
Ubisoft Brazil Congratulates Clair Obscur Expedition 33 for Their Success
Quite recently, on May 14, Ubisoft Brazil’s X profile shared a post where they congratulated the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 team for their success.

Which translates to: “A source of pride for the French gaming community – we celebrate the success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. With over 1M copies sold in one week, the French game has been a global phenomenon since its launch, and we at Ubisoft Brazil wish the team and fans of the game success.”
Sandfall did reply, saying: “Thank you for the support from Brazil! We are glad you liked the game!”
This is truly a sweet move by Ubisoft Brazil, and we are certain that other Ubisoft studios share the same sentiment. It is refreshing to see big studios show their support for the smaller ones, regardless of the “fan wars” and whatever is happening in the gaming community. Hats off to Ubisoft for being team players!
