How Do You Kill Meatballs? Helldivers 2 Players Offer Their Best Tips on How to Deal With the Fleshmob

More Illuminate units have joined the Galactic War by crashing the Singularity Party on May 13. The past few days have been a whirlwind of fighting, checking out all the new stuff and the Warbond, dealing with the DSS, and well, it’s been chaotic. So, many players haven’t had the chance to develop a good strategy on how to deal with the new enemies. Well, one new enemy in particular. Fleshmob, also known as Meatballs, has been giving some Helldivers 2 players a run for their money, but these tips will make fighting it much easier.

What Is a Fleshmob?

Simply put, it’s a new Illuminate heavy unit. It’s actually quite huge and gross, and when you see it out and about, especially for the first time, you won’t be too happy about it. The Fleshmob is made up of several Voteless merged together. That’s quite tragic! However, that didn’t stop the community from nicknaming them Meatballs.

These monsters are quite annoying, as they are hard to kill and relentless. Their HP is 6000! They’ll keep coming for you, trying to stop you from finishing your Objectives. Also, they’re quite fast for a bunch of fused Voteless, so, whether you like it or not, you’ll have to deal with them.

Helldivers Share Tips on How to Take Meatballs Down

No matter how you wish to call them, Meatballs, Fleshmob, Nuggets, the ever-helpful Helldivers 2 community will give you some tips on how to defeat these monstrosities. So, let’s see what your fellow Helldivers suggested!

So, to defeat any enemy, you must know its weak spot, right? It seems that the protruding heads are the biggest weak spots of this particular enemy. The next time you fight one, make sure to aim for the heads.

As for what works best against these creatures, we’d stick to W.A.S.P. In just three to four hits, the Meatballs will go down, we promise! Also, it works great on other Squid units. Now, of course, different players have different strategies.

One player noted: “Eruptor has been doing work for me. It one-shots the strafing fliers, and the shrapnel rework makes relatively quick work of these guys. To make it easy, just shoot in the middle of the cluster of blue eyes on the body”.

Others suggested shooting the Mratballs in the knees with AMR or HMG. SideOfBeef added: “AMR and HMG will become more valuable when the Guard Dog bug is fixed, currently it flies away randomly during combat”.

Of course, you can always save the ammo and try to escape them. One player, nerd3424, stated: “If you ignite or gas them, they’ll rage and get distracted thrashing around and kill other voteless. They might charge, but if you can dodge that, you’ll usually lose them”.

Do you have any useful tips to add? We love trying out new strategies, so feel free to share. You can find us on Pilen V, with all the drip from the latest Warbond. Let’s try our best with the current Major Order. For Liberty and Super Earth.
