How to complete Battening Down in ARC Raiders

The introduction of the Riven Tides map has brought some new quests in ARC Raiders, and Battening Down will have you explore all the locations. You can begin the quest after accepting it from Apollo, and this guide will help you complete all key steps to unlock the rewards.

ARC Raiders Battening Down quest walkthrough

The Battening Down quest can be broken down into the following three parts. As you might have guessed, all three tasks are exclusive to the Riven Tides map.

• Photograph the cracks forming in the seawall
• Fix the leaking oil pipe in the northeast
• Sample the shoreline near the hotel beach

The first task requires you to travel to a spot near the Wavebreaker POI. I have marked the exact location to make things easier for you. Once you reach the spot, you’ll find a sunken container in the sand. Take a photo, and this will complete the first task.

Fix the leaking oil pipe in the northeast

For the second task, you have to head to the right from where the container for the first task is located. Reach the marked spot on the image above, and you’ll see a couple of underground pipes partially being revealed in the sand.

Stand next to them, and you’ll find the prompt to repair the pipeline. Complete the repairs, and this will get the second task done.

Sample the shoreline near the hotel beach

For the next task, head to the western part of the map where you’ll find the Hotel Complex. However, the exact point is located ot the north of the hotel near the beach. Once again, you can refer to the image above to find the correct spot.

Funnily enough, you have to sample a seaweed, but the zone has no water. Once you find the seaweed, you’ll get the prompt to scan, which will then complete the final task and the Battening Down quest.
