It’s on! The battle for Super Earth has officially begun! The Heart of Democracy title update has just dropped, and the Helldivers 2 players are completely stunned. Helldivers are finally going to Super Earth, and it’s going to be quite an experience. So, let’s see what you can expect!
Arrowhead Announces a Title Update
On May 20, Baskinator, the Community Manager, posted the announcement on the official Discord channel. She noted: “The worst nightmare of all those who fight for Managed Democracy has been made a grim reality”.
Baskinator explained that all the Helldivers’ efforts weren’t enough, and that the Illuminate managed to land on Super Earth. Now it’s time for Helldivers to defend Managed Democracy and kill as many Squids as possible.
She concluded: “Our major update, Heart of Democracy, is now live. Helldivers, to your hellpods immediately! Citizens, enlistment centers will remain open for recruitment. The battle for Super Earth has begun”.
Of course, Arrowhead made an amazing trailer that followed this announcement. In the trailer, you can see how the cities on Super Earth look, and everything new that was added in the title update. As it turns out, the leaks were spot on.

What Awaits in the Heart of Democracy Update?
So, what is in this update? Quite a few things, actually. First, Helldivers can now fight on Super Earth. This comes with some interesting novelties, such as fighting in “megacities”. Furthermore, you’ll see the (living) SEAF troops for the first time, and you’ll fight the Squids together. You can also ask them to come with you (the Super Earth salute will do the trick).
Also, you can expect some fresh objectives. Baskinator noted: “With your help, we must activate our Planetary Defense Cannons and take down the Illuminate fleet in a grand show of power”. Sounds fun, right?
Aside from these additions, the devs also issued some fixes. Most of them are minor, you can check them out in the image below. However, many players loved that the “dogs” were finally fixed. The patch notes read: “Fix drones not returning to backpack correctly”.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Head Over Heels for Heart of Democracy
It’s been a week since the latest update, which introduced new enemies, weapon customization, and some great balancing. So, no one expected another update this soon after. The Heart of Democracy title update was a cherry on top of Helldivers 2 players’ experience. Just when they thought the game was doing great, Arrowhead gave them another magnificent treat. Naturally, Helldivers had many words of praise.
One player, mlmoberly, noted: “Just wanted to give some positive feedback after the 3 missions I just did. No performance issues, little to no enemies phasing through walls, just peak Halo vibes. This was overall a very polished content drop in my experience, and it has me excited for the future of the game”.
TH_Real_GAME stated: “We’ve been preparing for this moment. SUPER EARTH is under attack. I, as a botfront diver, am making a call to all our brothers and sisters across the galaxy. No matter what front you’re on, let’s join together and defend the heart of democracy”.
