How to Find Carter’s Utility Strap in Directive 8020 (Lost and Found)
Players can find Carter’s Utility Strap in Directive 8020 during the “Search” story node in Chapter 3, right after Cooper and Anders pass through the Mess Hall using a Power Cell.
After you exit the Mess Hall, a cutscene will play that shows Cooper and Anders hearing a beeping sound nearby. The sound is actually coming from behind the shutters, under the Cassiopeia sign.
Head down the staircase and interact with the destroyed shutters, so Cooper can move them out of the way, clearing a path ahead. Go into the little room, and you’ll need to shimmy across the gap to the other side.
After clearing the gap, turn left, and you’ll find Carter’s Utility Strap sitting on a box. As soon as you pick it up, it’ll unlock the Lost and Found trophy in Directive 8020. The Utility Strap can only play two possible pieces of footage, depending on your choices.
