A Simple Process If You Know How

To favorite a fruit in your inventory, select it and press the right mouse button (RMB) on PC, double-tap on mobile, L2 on PlayStation, or LT on Xbox. You’ll know that this has worked when the small heart icon appears next to it. If you want to unfavorite the fruit, press RMB/double tap/ L2/ LT on the fruit again. The heart icon should disappear, and you’ll be able to sell the fruit.

To favorite a plant in your garden, you need to buy the Favorite Tool. This can be purchased from the Gear Shop for 20 million sheckles at the very bottom of the list and is a ‘Divine’ item. Once this has been purchased, you can then use the tool when looking at a plan to favorite and unfavorite it. It only has 20 uses, though, so use them wisely.

As mentioned above, favoriting a crop with the tool doesn’t make it unstealable. This used to be the case, but an update disabled this functionality. As such, the tool is only good if you want to keep a plant growing in your garden and not run the risk of it being harvested by accident.
