Sony is showing off what’s coming to PS5 in 2025 and beyond.
The summer 2025 gaming season is now in full swing, thanks in large part to the PlayStation 5 State of Play on June 4.
This live stream put on by PlayStation kicks off weeks of content surrounding Summer Game Fest and other showcases, like Xbox’s on June 9. But for PS5 gamers, this State of Play has been a long time coming, with lots of 2025’s release schedule still up in the air.
Gamers everywhere are ready for some big announcements from PlayStation and its partners, so follow along here on this live blog to see what is announced and shown during the show, which clocks in at over 40 minutes long.

Lumines Arise – Announce Trailer
Kicking off the show, Sony led the festivities with a new entry in the Lumines series, Lumines Arise, coming to PS5 and PS VR 2 later this year. It gave some big Tetris Effect vibes, and this is a spiritual successor to that title, according to the devs.
Pragmata – New trailer and release window
The show continued with a futuristic-looking ad, featuring an entity called Delphi Corporation. Lo and behold, it’s the first look at Capcom title Pragmata, featuring an astronaut and an AI that looks and sounds like a little girl. It’s now due to come out in 2026 after being delayed.
Romeo is a Dead Man – Announce Trailer
Batting third in this State of Play, a very unique-looking title with a very distinct style, so naturally it’s from Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture. Romeo is a Dead Man looks to feature third-person shooter and hack-and-slash gameplay and is coming in 2026.
Silent Hill f – New trailer and release date
Silent Hill f continued the trend of stunning Japanese games, creeping everybody out with a new look at the horror franchise’s next entry, showing off some third-person gameplay with horrifying and grotesque enemies. The end of the video confirmed a Sept. 25 release date.
Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement
MetroidVania? Yes please. This 16h century Bloodstained sequel also sports its own version of creepy-looking enemies and an anime aesthetic, along with co-op gameplay for at least two players.
Digmon Story: Time Stranger – Release date trailer

Digimon, digital monsters, back in 2025. What a time to be alive. The third-person action/adventure game sports the classic franchise’s visual style coming to PS5 on Oct. 3.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles – Announce trailer
An all-time favorite FF, remastered, and coming in just a few months. It also has a faithful recreation of the 1997 original, and it launches on PS5 and PS4 on Sept. 30.
Baby Steps – New trailer
Oh, this one is looking funny. An open world “walking simulator” where walking is never as easy as it looks. It comes to PS5 on Sept. 8.
Hirogami – Announce trailer
This beautiful-looking origami-inspired game puts the paper in your hands, allowing you to morph into different paper shapes, coming to PS5 on Sept. 3.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots – New trailer
Golf time! Weather effects, nighttime variants, and a pre-order unlockable of Pac-Man as a playable character all coming to PS5 on Sept. 5.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound – Release date trailer
Blasphemous makers take on the Ninja Gaiden franchise in this 2D-sidescrolling action that features a soundtrack with guest composers from the original series. It’s coming to PS5 and PS4 on July 31.
Cairn – Demo trailer
“A survival-climbing experience” puts you in control of a climber making their way up a deadly mountain. A playable demo arrives today, but the game launches on Nov. 5.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection – Announce trailer
GET OVER HERE! A very special collection of Mortal Kombat games, “the most komplete kollection ever,” combines classic titles and their arcade, console, and handheld editions, now with online play.
PlayStation Fight Stick – Project Defiant
A quick reveal showed off a slick-looking wireless fight stick, the first ever from PlayStation, coming soon.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Gameplay trailer
The incredibly faithful-looking MGS3 remake got a new look, showing off a ton of different gameplay segments and cutscenes ahead of its launch in August. Snake vs. Monkey mode is back, too. And was that a teaser for Metal Gear Online at the end?!
NIOH 3 – Announce trailer
Shogun battles against demons and more! NIOH 3 is real! And a PS5 demo is available today ahead of its launch in 2026.
