Customization options are abundant for your Paras in Paralives to help you perfect their look. However, some players have been finding that the default blush effects and outlines on Paras’ faces can be a bit distracting or just don’t work with the look that they’re going for. Fortunately, there are some ways to remove face blush and outlines on a Para’s face in Paralives; you just need to dive deeper into the customization options to find them. This makes it likely some players will just give up on removing them, but this guide will help you find the settings so you can get the look you’re going for.

Take control of your Paralives experience with these game-changing cheat codes, from inventory hacks to skill boosts.
How to Remove Face Blush Effects in Paralives
To remove face blush effects, you need to change the skin and natural blush options within the skin tones menu. This will stop the blush from standing out from the rest of the skin, as they’re effectively the same color. I’ve outlined the process in steps below to make it easy to find the exact settings you’re looking for.
- Click anywhere on your Para’s skin to open the ‘Skin Tone’ window.
- Choose the skin tone that you want your Para to have from the presets.
- Click on the ‘+’ button with the circle around it at the end of the presets list.
- Ensure that the ‘Advanced Mode’ box is ticked. You should now see Skin, Highlights, Shadow, Natural Blush, Lips, and Palms as different options for you to change.
- Make sure that the Skin and Natural Blush tones are the exact same. The easiest way to do this is to go to ‘Skin’ and then copy the hex code located just above the color wheel and next to the currently selected tone.
- Paste the hex code from the Skin tone into the Natural Blush option. After doing this, you should find that there’s no noticeable blush on your Para’s face.
This will now be saved as a skin tone you can use for other Paras in the game. It will appear in the list alongside the game’s default skin tone options.
How to Remove Face Outlines in Paralives
Outlines on Paras’ faces are trickier to remove in the game’s settings. Fortunately, two mods on Steam Workshop enable you to either make the outlines more subtle or remove them entirely.
‘More Subtle Outline’ by kaiya/bun sets the outline parameters for the character models to 0.25 rather than the default 0.5. This keeps the outlines, and retains the art style that the developers wanted for the game, but gives it a much clearer look.
If you’d rather remove them entirely, then ‘Remove Cell Shade on Para’s’ from ‘tender sugar’ removes the cell shading outlines entirely. This has a more pronounced impact on the visual style of Paralives, but might appear more to certain people depending on their personal preferences.
To install either of these mods, follow the steps below:
- Visit the mod’s page on Steam Workshop. I’ve linked to each of these above.
- Click on the green ‘Subscribe’ button.
- Wait for the mod to be downloaded. It should automatically begin downloading after you click ‘Subscribe.’
- Start ‘Paralives‘ and the mods should be installed and enabled by default.
If you want to disable a mod, you can do so by going to the start menu, selecting the ‘Mods’ option, and then clicking on the toggle to the left of the mod you want to disable. When you want to turn it back on again, click the toggle so the ‘button’ of it moves back to the right.
Lessening Outlines Without Mods
If you don’t want to use mods for whatever reason, you can lessen outlines in-game, too. To do this, go to the same skin tones menu as where we adjusted face blush and select the ‘Shadows’ option.
Here, you’ll want to pick a lighter shade by using the color wheel. If you want to remove them entirely yourself, simply use the same hex code that you selected for your Para’s skin tone and copy this into the ‘Shadows’ hex code box.
By using these options, you can drastically change your Para’s appearance. Now all you need to do is make your Para the perfect outfit, and they’ll be ready to hit the town.
