The Martial Artist is one of the two new Ascendancy classes in Path of Exile 2, and you can use it to clear the new endgame content. The endgame has been expanded massively with new storylines, and the Martial Artist looks pretty powerful on paper.

The Martial Artist Ascendancy is an extension of the Monk class. This will be one of the hardest Ascendancies to master, especially for beginners.

| Runic Meridians | You can tattoo different runes onto your body that will allow you to get additional rune-only sockets. You can have a maximum of five sockets with this method. |
| Hollow Focus and Hollow Resonance | Hollow Focus allows you to summon ghostly bells that resonate upon impact. Your hits will damage and destroy these bells to create shockwaves that will damage nearby enemies and also stun those that are Primed for Stun. Hollow Resonance allows you to attach a ghostly bell to your back. Whenever you deal a critical hit with other skills, the bell will ring out and damage nearby enemies. |
| Hollow Form | You can create temporary illusions of yourself that will perform a socketeed attack before they vanish. |
| Way of the Mountain | Offers you the chance to gain Mountain’s Teaching. You can use them to save yourself from incoming attacks that will do damage less than or equal to 30% of your maximum life (you take reduced damage). |
| Way of Stonefist | You can convert your Gloves into Fists of Stones while transforming all existing prefixes and suffixes into more powerful versions. |
| Martial Adept and Martial Master | You can combine these two abilities to double your combo gain per hit. Your ability to gain combo from any attack will also increase irrespective of whether it’s part of a set. |
The Martial Artist looks quite potent if you’re looking to begin the new league with the Monk class. However, if you want to try an alternative, the Spirit Walker Ascendancy class is available if you begin your journey as a Huntress.
