“A Silver Lining?” Nexon Reveals How Xbox One Players Can Still Play The First Descendant

The support for last-gen consoles has officially ended, but Nexon reveals how Xbox One players can still play The First Descendant.

The First Descendant Update 1.2.20 has just dropped, and besides adding new features and the dreaded Furry Companion skins, it also officially ended the support for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. From now on, last-gen console users can’t enjoy TFD anymore, and naturally, the fans are not exactly happy about it. But it looks like things are not that bleak.

Xbox One Players Can Still Play The First Descendant via Cloud Gaming

Well, there is a silver lining to the whole situation. As it turns out, Nexon has added TFD to their Xbox Cloud Gaming service, meaning that Xbox One plauers can still play the game in a way. As per the official post:

“Greetings, Descendants!

As of Thursday, June 19,  The First Descendant is now available on Xbox Stream Your Own Game catalog.

Game Pass Ultimate members can stream select cloud-playable games you own, even if they’re not included with Game Pass Ultimate, directly on various devices. This includes Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, Meta Quest headsets, as well as other browser-supported devices like PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

With this, Xbox One players will be able to continue enjoying The First Descendant through Stream Your Own Game Cloud Gaming.

Please refer to the details below for how to use the service and eligibility information.

  • The Stream Your Own Game service is available to Xbox accounts with an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
  • The First Descendant game must be purchased/owned by this account to play.

So, while not exactly playing on Xbox One, Game Pass subscribers can still stream TFD on their other devices and continue where they left off. Hopefully, PlayStation users will get something similar.
