The Five Elders, also known as the Gorosei, are some of the strongest individuals that we have seen in One Piece, and they have played a significant role in the Final Saga so far. While they were hidden in the shadows over the years, the Final Saga has brought them out at their very best. In the Egghead arc, we got a proper look at the powers and abilities of the Five Elders, and it is safe to say that they are some of the most dangerous individuals to have existed in the One Piece world.
The Five Elders were revealed to have the power of various Yokai and other mythological creatures. At this point, it is unclear if these abilities stem from Devil Fruits or if they are the result of the gift of Nerona Imu in the world of One Piece. While all of them are incredibly powerful, some creatures are stronger than others.

Sandworm
- User: Saint Shepherd Ju Peter
The Sandworm is a powerful mythological creature that exists in many pieces of fiction. This is an incredibly powerful creature that Saint Shepherd Ju Peter can transform into at will. The Sandworm is an absolutely massive creature with what appears to be a scar on its head. The creature has the power to dig and attack enemies from underneath at incredible speed. In the Egghead arc, Ju Peter was seen using the power of the Sandworm to dig and then attack Luffy to consume him.
Ju Peter also managed to swallow Luffy, and had it not been for the Giants, perhaps Luffy would have been dead. He also has great constriction force, which can tear the defenses of some powerhouses. The powers of this creature have not been fully explored just yet. As is the case with every single member of the Five Elders, Shepherd Ju Peter has a unique ability as well, but unfortunately, we will likely not get to see that unless Oda draws the battles on another island in more detail.

Gyuki
- User: Saint Jaygarcia Saturn
Saint Saturn is the Gorosei that the fans have seen the most of so far in the story. He was first seen arriving on Egghead with the Marines, and he utilized the power of his Yokai right from the get-go. Saint Saturn can transform into Gyuki. This creature has the upper body of an Ox and the lower body of a Spider. Saint Saturn has several powerful abilities. For one, Saturn can utilize the power to inflict invisible damage on his enemies. Furthermore, he can even pin down his enemies and prevent them from moving using this force, and this includes even strong enemies such as Yonko Commanders.
Furthermore, Saturn has a powerful ability to coat himself with venom and attack others with this venom that can kill in a single shot. If that wasn’t enough, Saturn also has an incredible regeneration rate, but this regeneration is wielded by all of the members of the Elders as well. Clearly, Saturn possessed tremendous strength; however, his showing against Luffy was certainly not the best.

Itsumade
Itsumade is a giant mythological bird with what appears to be a serpentine body, with giant wings possessing feathers that are as tough as steel, and a head that appears to be a mixture of that of a human and a bird. The teeth of this giant bird are incredibly sharp as well, and taking all things into consideration, Itsumade is an absolutely monstrous creature.
We have not seen much of this creature in One Piece so far. However, the Itsumade was clearly able to break through the Labophase barrier with ease. This suggests that it possessed enough speed and strength to tear through the barrier. It also has the ability to spit a powerful laser-like fire from its mouth. That incinerates everything in its path. The true power of the Itsumade has not been seen yet, since fans do not know what unique ability it possesses up its sleeve. However, it is most certainly one of the most powerful Yokai transformations of all.

Bakotsu
- User: Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro
Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is a powerful individual and likely one of the strongest among the Five Elders. He possessed quite a lot of incredible abilities up his sleeve, and, as seen in Egghead, he can transform into the Bakotsu, which is a skeleton horse-like figure from hell. This skeleton horse is absolutely massive in size and, at the same time, also incredibly fast.
Nusjuro can also transform into its hybrid form, just like all the other Elders, and he turns into a centaur-like creature when he takes this form. Wielding his sword in one hand, Nusjuro was able to slice through over 25 Mark 3 Pacifists in the blink of an eye. He can also summon the chill of the underworld, which is an ability that he shares with Brook. Of course, the Bakotsu Yokai also has many other abilities that we have not seen yet. However, so far, the speed of this creature is unrivaled. Furthermore, the chill that it attacks with renders his opponents absolutely helpless, and that is certainly a very scary power.

Fengxi/Houki
- User: Saint Topman Warcury
The Fengxi, also known as the Houki, is a monstrous creature in Chinese mythology that looks like a massive wild boar. The Houki is known to hold tremendous physical strength, which is likely the highest among the Five Elders. At the same time, Houki also seems to have an impenetrable hide, which prevents it from taking serious damage. In Egghead, Houki was able to withstand Luffy’s Red Roc, the very same technique that sent Kaido crashing into the floor and made him bleed. Houki can also use fire to an extent and make it strong enough to hurt even the likes of Luffy in Gear 3.
Houki can also turn his tusks into blades and attack enemies with them. These attacks are deadly enough to injure even powerful Yonko level opponents. On top of that, Warcury also possessed the ability to amplify his Conqueror’s Haki using the power of this Yokai. This was seen used against Luffy, and it completely tore his clothes apart, and blew away everyone in the surrounding area. In fact, the power of his Conqueror’s Haki roar was such that it even reached the Marine ships, knocking out several members in the process.
