We all love Goku, but Dragon Ball wouldn’t have become a juggernaut if the Saiyan hadn’t gone up against some truly fantastic baddies. From King Piccolo to Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu, Dragon Ball‘s villains are among the greatest in fiction, and the franchise’s rogues gallery extends beyond the canon timeline. Look past Akira Toriyama’s manga, and we find dozens of monsters who can wreck the Z-Fighters and destroy a few planets.
On those rare days when a developer tells a new story, an original Dragon Ball villain is born, some of whom feature in multiple projects and the Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime or manga. If you only watched the main anime or read the official manga, you would have missed out on some absurdly overpowered villains who exist outside the core universe’s power scaling. Let’s celebrate these evil powerhouses.
Only Dragon Ball villains that originated in games.
To make this article a bit more interesting, I’ve left out a few characters:
- Fu – He recently featured in my Strongest Saiyans You’ve Never Heard Of article, so I’ve chosen not to repeat myself. He is also the least obscure of these villains, as he is the main baddie of Dragon Ball Heroes and appears in Xenoverse 2‘s DLC. If he were to be included in this article, he would rank first.
- Karoly Black – Goku Black and Broly’s fusion from, well, Dragon Ball Fusions; really powerful, but he featured in two of my recent articles, so I don’t want to include him again. He would probably rank fourth.

Majin Ozotto Eats Planets, Buu, And Gohan
A Dragon Ball Villain Who Takes Many Forms
- Introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Virtual Reality Versus
- Appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes
- Fun Fact: Ozotto was designed by Akira Toriyama
Majin Ozotto is exactly why I love doing these articles. In order to find a forgotten Dragon Ball villain, I dived into a few forgotten games that never left Japan, with Dragon Ball Z: V.R.V.S. being the most obscure. We are talking about a 1994 Sega System 32 arcade fighter that plays unlike any other Dragon Ball game, and it seems to have been largely wiped from history.
Dragon Ball: 5 Weakest Final Forms, Ranked
Dragon Ball has had many powerful characters undergo powerful transformations, but not every final form lives up to the hype.
After smashing through a gauntlet of familiar faces, players face off against a mimic, who proves to be Majin Ozotto in disguise. In the game, Ozotto can shapeshift into any of the Z-Fighters in the game, who are all Super Saiyan level (minus Piccolo). He not only perfectly replicates their movesets, but also supercharges them as he takes playters down with a few hits.
Due to featuring in a game that came out halfway through DBZ, Ozotto is naturally far weaker than more modern villains. However, 30 years later, Dragon Ball Heroes brought the villain out of retirement and gave him a substantial power up. He absorbs Majin Buu, granting him the ability to create proper functioning clones while also gaining abilities like cell regeneration.
Ozotto eats a planet, absorbs Gohan, stands his ground against SSB Goku, SSB Vegeta, and Xeno Trunks, and even survives Vegito. Not bad for a villain from an arcade game that nobody remembers.

Fin Is Dark Gogeta
Think Kid Buu But More OP
- Introduced in Dragon Ball Heroes
- Appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes (Very Briefly)
- Fun Fact: He appears alongside Chiller in SDBH, another Dragon Ball villain who could have made this list
As a central villain in Dragon Ball Online and Xenoverse, Demon Goddess Towa is too well known to qualify for this topic, but the same cannot be said for one of her greatest creations. An Android Majin, Fin is basically the demon realm’s take on Kid Buu, albeit supercharged to absurd levels so he can fight against the likes of Gogeta.
Similar to his canon alternative, Fin operates as a force of nature fueled by raw, mindless destruction, at least in his base form. Although his standard version is fairly strong, Fin manages to temporarily absorb Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, becoming Dark Gogeta in the process. Admittedly, the fused hero lets himself be absorbed and breaks free relatively quickly, but Fin had already engrained enough of the Saiyan’s DNA to maintain his new form.
Later on, Fin even achieves his Ultimate Evolution, developing an ability to think and form sentences in the process.

Aeos Has Time In The Palm Of Her Hands
We Have A Time God
- Introduced in Dragon Ball Heroes
- Appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes
- Fun Fact: She turns good eventually
Before Chronoa took on the role, Aeos served as the Supreme Kai of Time, although she took a bit of a different approach to maintaining the multiverse’s stability. Realizing that mortals will continue to make a mess of the space-time continuum through illegal time travel, Aeos decides to hold a tournament to determine which branch of reality should continue to exist. Aeos plans to erase every other timeline, basically making it like they never existed.
The Super Space-Time Tournament might sound like Dragon Ball Super‘s Tournament of Power, but it’s way more over-the-top and makes far less sense (in a fun way). You have characters fighting different versions of themselves and Yamcha trying to romance a Warrior in Black named Vidro.
While not the physically strongest villain in Dragon Ball Heroes, Aeos’ power comes from space-time manipulation, and she can erase entire timelines due to her power as a Supreme Kai of Time. She can freeze opponents in place, create portals that cross space and time, and reflect damage back onto enemies. We don’t get to see Aeos fight often in Dragon Ball Heroes, but she proves to be a match for Ultra Instinct Sign Goku, which is impressive.

Dark King Mechikabura Pulls The Strings From The Dark Demon Realm
Planet-Eater? How About Timeline-Eater!
- Introduced in Dragon Ball Heroes
- Appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes
- Fun Fact: He is more than 75,000 years old
Don’t be fooled by his old-man appearance; Mechikabura is one of the most powerful characters in the Dragon Ball multiverse. An ancient sorcerer who was sealed thousands of years ago by the original Supreme Kai of Time, Mechikabura rules the Dark Empire from his throne in the Dark Demon Realm. Although he isn’t too much of a physical threat while depowered, Mechikabura pulls the string like a true mastermind, using the likes of Towa, Mira, and Demigra to restore his former glory.
Once he gathers all the seven Dark Dragon Balls, which is a whole thing that I don’t have time to get into, Mechikabura regains his youth and power, regaining his title as the Dark King. His presence alone corrupts the space-time fabric and multiversal timeline tree. If he decides to be active, Mechikabura can literally summon a void that lets him eat entire timelines.
While the anime isn’t quite as over-the-top, video game Mechikabura (and his henchmen) is only beaten by an alliance of about 10 of the strongest characters from across the universe, including Super Saiyan 4 Vegito and Fin.

Dark King Demigra Puts Demon God Demigra To Shame
Multiverse Dragon Ball Is Confusing And Exhausting
- Introduced in Dragon Ball Xenoverse
- Appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes
- Fun Fact:
Due to being Dragon Ball Xenoverse‘s main villain, Demigra barely qualifies as an obscure character, and he even appears in the sequel in a diminished role. However, the first Xenoverse was rendered obsolete very quickly by the second game, which limited Demigra’s time in the spotlight. He is also arguably the second-strongest Dragon Ball Heroes villain after Fu, and an argument could be made for the top spot. So, I’ve decided to include him.
As far as I can tell, Xenoverse Demigra (aka Demon God Demigra) and Dragon Ball Heroes Demigra (aka Dark King Demigra) are not the same character, as their backstories differ.
The Xenoverse version essentially has Mechikabura’s backstory, as he is trapped inside the Crack of Time for 75,000 years and manipulates Towa and Mira to break free. He plans to eradicate the canon Dragon Ball timeline so he can become the God of Time and Space. Although presented as the primary source of evil, Demon God Demigra is not so overpowered to warrant a spot in this article.
In Dragon Ball Heroes, Demigra starts as Mechikabura’s minion, but he eventually becomes stronger by absorbing his master’s Dark Factor. Combining Mechikabura’s magic with stolen Time Scrolls, Demigra reaches a level of power that is beyond absurd. He demolishes Aeos without any issue, he turns Broly into a puppet, and he overcomes Vegito. Ultra Instinct Goku, Future Gohan, and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Bardock need to work together to take down Demigra.
