Here’s how you can pull off this challenging Pro Goal in the THPS3 Foundry park.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is finally available for everyone to enjoy. The remade classics offer a ton of maps, challenges, and difficult tricks, now in higher resolution and with some refinements.
One challenge on Foundry’s list of Pro Goals is Double Kickflip the Stop the Presses Gap. It is equally difficult and obscure, as the platform required to pull it off needs specifics to come up from the ground. So, here is how you can complete this challenge and be one step closer to fully mastering the Foundry park.
Double Kickflip the Stop the Presses Gap – THPS3 guide

To complete this challenge, you first need to unlock it. To access these Pro Goals, as they’re called in the game, you must first clear the entire Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 roster of goals, on every map, across both games. This means doing just about everything there is to do in the game, including secrets. Once you do so, you will have unlocked the Pro Goals section on each Park in THPS 3 + 4, allowing you to 100 percent them.
Now, once Double Kickflip the Stop the Presses Gap is unlocked, you need to do the following to achieve it:
- Once you spawn, hold X/A and immediately go to the back of the arena. I recommend following either the left or right catwalks and their railings, as you can grind them to charge up your special meter (a crucially important aspect of this challenge).
- Once you’re back there, you’ll need to grind the rails and achieve Round the Bend, which will prompt the necessary platform to come up.
- When the platform is raised (the one just prior to the Molten Bucket pit), you’ll need to grind on its side and pull a double kickflip after jumping off.
- To perform this pair of tricks, stop your skater and aim for the ramps next to the platform. Hold X/A to gain max speed and jump off the ramp and onto the platform, pressing Triangle/Y to grind on its side.
- At just the end of the grind, use X/A to jump off, and then hold left and tap Square/X twice to pull off a double kickflip. If you stick the landing, you will have completed this difficult challenge.
It goes without saying that Double Kickflip the Stop the Presses Gap is one of the more tedious and challenging Pro Goals in Foundry, requiring a ton of skill and precise timing to be pulled off.
