The Jury Is in! Helldivers 2 Players Deliver a Verdict on the Control Group Warbond

It’s been roughly 24 hours since the Control Group Warbond dropped in Helldivers 2. As always, the players were aware of everything in this Warbond well ahead of time. However, as you know, every Warbond seems good in theory, but some turned out to be, well, lacking in practice. Also, the devs take every opportunity to sneak in a surprise. So, what’s the verdict?

Control Group Could Use Some Work…

Arrowhead devs are kind of known for accidentally introducing game-breaking bugs while fixing known problems. It’s a small team, and mistakes happen. They try their best to fix the new bugs as fast as possible. Additionally, some of the content they add might feel unfinished occasionally. Still, they do an amazing job and deserve all the praise.

As for the new Warbond, some players had quite a few remarks. The biggest problem with this Warbond seems to be the Epoch. Some players called it “the Quasar but with ammo”. This is one of those phenomenal in theory weapons, but in reality, it’s bugged. The spread is broken, so good luck! Obviously, the devs are aware of this, and they’re probably working on a fix.

Some players didn’t love that the Variable was light pen. Many noted that it would be top tier if it were medium pen. However, the consensus is that it is quite viable on all three fronts, despite only being light pen.

As for the rest of the content, sure, some items are strange and slightly broken (looking at you, Adreno-defibrillator armor passive!), but they didn’t get much hate. Probably the worst thing anyone said about this Warbond is that it felt “mid” when the trailer promised pure chaos.

… but, Some Helldivers 2 Players Claim It’s the Best Warbond So Far

We’ve seen many reviews of the Control Group Warbond, and we can safely say that the Helldivers 2 community loves it, despite some flaws. Naturally, the players explained what was so cool about this Warbond and praised the devs.

One player, pohwelly, noted: “10/10 Best Warbond to date.  I wanna give AH a pat on the head and a gold star. This warbond was like everything I needed for my builds. Epoch is perfect, Variable is perfect. Armor is sick as hell. Don’t even need to see the rest”.

Alternative-Cut-7409 added: “This Warbond absolutely rocks! Thanks AH! I understand a fair chunk of the criticisms and agree with a decent amount of them… but I absolutely LOVE this warbond. Everything in it fills out missing parts of some of my kits, and most importantly, my favorite ones”.
