It’s here! The Control Group Warbond dropped on July 17. It’s quite a fun Warbond, and it has received lots of praise so far. However, one thing stood out from the very start. Helldivers 2 players noticed that the Warp Pack allowed them to teleport into the bunkers! Surely that’s a bug, right? Nope, one of the devs confirmed this was a feature.
Helldivers Can Use the Warp Pack to Enter Bunkers Solo
Now, this will completely change the solo missions, and it’ll make SC farming much, much easier. Once the players noticed this phenomenal change, they immediately suspected it was a bug. After all, Arrowhead is sort of known for accidentally introducing bugs.
However, the devs confirmed that this was, in fact, a feature. Alexus, one of the Helldivers 2 developers, took to Discord and wrote: “Nah that’s by design to let you jump into bunkers with the warp pack”.
So, if you prefer going solo, but you had to bring a buddy to farm Super Credits, you don’t have to anymore. Or, if none of your teammates can be bothered to come open the bunker with you, you can now do it on your own. Truth be told, this is such an elegant solution, well done, devs!
A Mech Can Also Get You Into the Bunker
The devs truly cooked with the latest patch, as players noticed that if you use a mech, you can also enter the bunker solo. One player, Careless_Line41, posted a video showing off this “trick”. They noted: “You can enter and collect the items in bunkers now as solo”.
The devs also confirmed that this was intentional. So, don’t worry, it won’t be “fixed”. In other words, if you still haven’t collected enough SC for the latest Warbond, you can still enjoy farming them solo! Naturally, the community loved this change, as the players had requested it for a long while.
