PS Plus Monthly Free Games for August 2026 Revealed Early

PS Plus Monthly Free Games for August 2026 Revealed Early

PlayStation Plus subscribers recently received the last batch of Extra games for July 2026, but Sony already has its eyes on August, revealing the PS Plus free games for August 2026 a whole day early. This is the second early PS Plus announcement in recent memory, so it’s uncertain if it’s just happenstance or another way Sony is experimenting with PS Plus (as seen with the monthly rollout of PS Plus Extra games).

While the reveal is early, the release of these new PS Plus free games for August 2026 is happening when they should, on August 4. Until then (and of course beyond), PS Plus subscribers can check out the last Extra games for July, which include Dying Light, Snow Bros. Wonderland, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind.

PS Plus Free Games for August 2026 List

  • Big Walk (PS5)
  • Signalis (PS4)

The PS Plus free games for August 2026 are Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis. They’ll be added on August 4 and replace the current PS Plus free games, which are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Cross-Gen Bundle), For the King 2, and CrossCode. Fans will have until the games rotate out to claim and play through the latter, while the new PS Plus free games will be available until August 31, per the official PlayStation blog.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition is an open-world game for PS Plus focused on zombie action, a lively day and night cycle, and one of the best parkour systems in gaming. Its inclusion for August is intentional, too. With Dying Light 1 on PS Plus Extra, fans can check out both in August at no additional cost, and Dying Light: The Beast is also available to check out (via premium purchase) for anyone who enjoys these games. The Reloaded Edition bundles together years of updates (from the inclusion of guns to parkour and nighttime changes), and it’s the definitive way to play.

Meanwhile, Big Walk is a co-op game coming to PS Plus focused on exploration, communication, and solving puzzles together with friends when placed in odd or limited-communication situations. Developed by House House, the creators of Untitled Goose Game, Big Walk is likely defined by the friends you play with, just as some of the best co-op games are.

Finally, Signalis is a retro-inspired survival horror game for PS Plus that combines classic Resident Evil-style exploration with psychological storytelling and a sci-fi setting. Players control Elster, a Replika technician searching for a lost partner inside a crumbling underground facility filled with grotesque creatures, limited resources, and cryptic mysteries. Its old-school inventory management, tense combat, and intricate puzzles are paired with a deeply emotional narrative that earned it critical acclaim. And all together, these games should give PS Plus subscribers a lot of fun times in the weeks ahead.
