Honkai: Star Rail has confirmed the official schedule for its Version 3.5 special broadcast, which will be held on August 2, 2025. The game also shared an important update about some characters debuting in future patches. Honkai: Star Rail‘s latest 3.4 update was quite ambitious with Phainon’s release and the Fate/Stay Night collaboration event. Now, fans are eager to see what HoYoverse has next in store for them.
Although Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 answered some major questions about Amphoreus’ true nature, the latest Trailblaze Mission added more mysteries to uncover about Irontomb and Phainon. During the main story, players were able to meet Hysilens in-game for the first time and learned more about Cerydra’s background as Imperator. Earlier in June, Honkai: Star Rail confirmed Hysilens and Cerydra’s playable debuts for Version 3.5, confirming that they will be 5-Star units. Now, players can look forward to more official information about both Chrysos Heirs.

A new Honkai: Star Rail leak is giving fans a teaser about a brand-new game mode set to arrive to the sci-fi RPG during the Version 3.7 update.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 3.5 special program is scheduled for August 2 at 7:30 PM (UTC+8). As revealed by HoYoverse, the update will be titled “Before Their Deaths.” During the livestream, the developers will share limited Honkai: Star Rail redeem codes and a trailer for Version 3.5. Character introductions for Hysilens and Cerydra will be featured, as well as the order of their debut banners. Additionally, the developers will dive into the update’s limited events and rewards. Earlier Honkai: Star Rail leaks had teased that Hysilens could become the next best Nihility unit capable of shaking the current DoT meta. Meanwhile, Cerydra’s leaked kit has left many fans skeptical of her utility in team compositions, as she seemingly only works well with Phainon. The upcoming special program is expected to unveil several details about their kits and lore.

In addition to the Version 3.5 special program, Honkai: Star Rail has officially postponed the drip marketing for the upcoming Version 3.6 characters. According to HoYoverse, the new playable units will be revealed on August 3 and 4 at 12:00 PM (UTC+8), confirming at least two debuts for the patch. Several previous leaks teased that Version 3.6 would release March 7 and Dan Heng’s new 5-Star variants. The rumors about their alternate forms have been around for a while, but no official media or in-game content has addressed the matter. The characters’ new rarities are likely major spoilers for future storylines, so HoYoverse is opting to delay their reveal.
Per Honkai: Star Rail lore, Hysilens passed away years before the Trailblazer arrived at Amphoreus. It will be interesting to see how the game approaches her revival. Hysilens is rumored to debut during Honkai: Star Rail 3.5’s first-half banners alongside Kafka, while Cerydra will be paired up with Silver Wolf. The update is set to launch around mid-August.
