If you want a new type of buggy in Grounded 2, then you’ll want to find yourself some Orb Weaver Eggs.
These eggs can be hatched to create an Orb Weaver, which you can use as a buggy. They look far more menacing than Red Ants, which sold me on the idea. But finding these eggs can be difficult. So here’s how to find and hatch Orb Weaver Eggs in Grounded 2.
How to find Orb Weaver Eggs in Grounded 2?
As of writing, Orb Weaver Eggs can be found at three locations: Headless BURG. L, under the tree at the Ice Cream Cart, and at the Picnic Table under the lamp post.
Location | Where to find | How to extract the eggs |
---|---|---|
BURG.L | On the remains of the headless BURG.L. | Located between the borders of Ceremony and Snackbar Front, the remains serve as a nesting area for Orb Weavers. You’ll first have to clear the spiderlings and matured Orb Weavers at this location before extracting the eggs. This is the easiest area to raid in my books. |
Picnic Table | Right under the lamp post | The lamp post is located to the right of the Picnic Table, and you’ll find a Wolf Spider roaming the area, along with a bunch of spiderlings. Don’t engage the Wolf Spider; just avoid it, take one of the entrances, go inside, and then pick up your eggs. |
Ice Cream Cart | Roots of a large tree covering part of the area | This area has the highest number of Orb Weaver nests among all three locations, but I would avoid it. The areas have too many enemies, including Orb Weavers and Orb Weaver Jrs. If you want a challenge, you can raid this spot, but I haven’t attempted it myself. It’s just too much trouble for my liking. |
Here is some advice: Get your ant first as your maiden buggy. Good luck getting the egg back to your base in one piece if you don’t have an ant. You can’t attack any creature while carrying the egg, making it almost impossible to return safely with the item. Just use an ant – it’s safe, more convenient, and they’re cute.

How to get an Orb Weaver Buggy in Grounded 2?
So you got your egg safely back to your base, what’s next? For starters, defeat the Mysterious Stranger to access the Penthouse Office. You’ll get the TURBO optical disk from this location, and then use it at a Ranger Station to obtain the Orb Weaver Buggy plan.
Here’s the complete list of items required to create a saddle.
- Blueberry Leather x3
- Red Ant Mandibles x4
- Acorn Shell x3
Here’s what you’ll need to create a spider nest for your new buggy.
- Web Fiber x6
- Silk Rope x4
- Weed Stem x6
- Pine Needle x6
While the Orb Weaver buggy looks menacing and can slice through enemies, it can’t carry any items. It’s also bigger, which means the creature won’t be able to enter certain areas that your Red Ant buggy can. However, it’s a great option if you’re on a quest to defeat challenging enemies.
