When Pokémon first launched on GameBoy, I was six. Choosing a starter was a very difficult choice for me, but I made the correct one: Bulbasaur. From then on, I was a certified Poke Maniac. Thirty years later, I am still obsessed and recently had to make another tough decision: choosing which Secretlab SKINS Pokemon Pixel Art design to put on my Titan EVO chair, which you’ll need to enjoy the new Pokémon x Secretlab collab.
Last summer I gave the Secretlab X Genshin Impact Collaboration Chair a glowing review, and this summer I am loving my chair even more thanks to the new Pokemon Pixel Art SKINS collection. It is a pixel perfect addition for any Pokemon fan who has a Secretlab TITAN Evo chair.
Installing the SKINS is a Master Ball catch: first try, every time.
Secretlab sent all three Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS to try out. At first, I was a little hesitant because I thought putting them on would be a hassle. I had imagined having to take something off from my current setup and fiddling with a tough-to-use product. Thankfully, getting them on your chair is as easy as catching a Pokemon with a Master Ball. Each box comes with a backrest cover, a seat base cover, and a pair of cover inserts that help keep everything in place.
Secretlab touts the SKINS as only taking three minutes to put on your TITAN Evo chair, and I tested that out and filmed myself putting it on and it took me right around the three-minute mark. Changing your chair’s look is made easy thanks to a handy instructional guide and a QR code that links to a video demonstration. Through a series of zippers, snaps, and clips, the skin fits securely on the chair, protecting it from spills, rips, and wear.
Each skin is also machine washable so if it does get dirty, clean up is a breeze. Taking the skins off is just as easy and can be done in less than a minute. My only complaint with the process is that you do need to adjust the arms and the backrest angle quite a bit to install the SKINS, and that can mess up the settings you use daily.
A Gorgeous, Pixel Perfect Addition for any Pokémon Fan
Once on, each skin features the final evolution of the Kanto starters (Venasaur, Charizard, and Blastoise) on the chair’s backrest. It’s pixel perfect nostalgia that hit me right in the feels when I first put them on. Not only do the skins feature those three front and center, but the Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS showcase other Pokémon from Generation 1 on the front, back, and seat. These Pokémon pixel sprites are scattered as a pattern on each respective skin and feature fan favorites like Arcanine, Lapras, and Vileplume.
The rest of the design features a gorgeous color gradient based on each starter’s type that adds depth and dimension. Currently, I have the Grass-type on because Bulbasaur is my favorite starter and green is my favorite color, but I already have plans to swap it out soon for the Water-type because the blue gradient is stunning and features my favorite Eeveelution, Vaporeon, in the pixel sprite pattern.
Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS are Functional and Gorgeous
The Secretlab chair I currently own is leather and very comfortable. Thankfully, the Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS collection comes in three sizes: small, regular, and XL. Over the last year, I’ve grown very accustomed to how the leather feels and was worried about transitioning to the softer, silkier material. My worries were unfounded, though, as the chair is just as comfortable. The skins fit on the chair comfortably, though there are a few points in which it was a little looser than I hoped. Since I currently have all three, I have the other two stored, and I am curious how they’ll look when I unbox them again. I am hoping they stay fairly wrinkle-free. Out of the box, they looked great with minimal wrinkles.

The Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS are a wonderful addition for Pokémon fans who own a compatible Secretlab chair. The new Pokémon collection adds a fun way to change up the look of the chair. While Secretlab chairs are on the higher end pricewise, they are a worthwhile investment for those who sit in them a lot like me, and having the ability to customize them with the Pokémon Pixel Art SKINS is just another selling point for me. Plus, it helps protect the chair from wear and tear, dust, and spills.
