New content is always welcome! Marvel Rivals developers decided to give the players a sweet little treat and announced Luna Snow and Captain America would be getting a new skin each. Both of these characters are quite popular, so let’s see what the players can expect.
Captain America Will Get a Skin Inspired by Avengers: Infinity War
The developers announced on Discord that the new skin was inspired by Captain America’s look in the 2018 movie. They noted: “The Shield of Bravery Returns! ‘Evacuate the city. Engage all defenses. And get this man a shield.’ Captain America’s heroic costume inspired by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War (2018) combines enduring courage with a sleek, battle-ready design. Be ready to face any threat with the man out of time”.
This skin will be available starting Friday, 7 February 2025, at 03:00. The developers also attached a video (also below) that showed Cap in action, and, truth be told, the skin looks amazing.
All Cap fans are quite pleased with the announced skin. One player, travisvanalst4698, noted: “These devs are killin’ it. Never played a hero shooter in my life until this game. The characters and skins are all FANTASTIC”.
Marvel Rivals Devs Also Gave a Skin to Luna
Captain America wasn’t the only Marvel Rivals character to get a new skin, as Luna Snow got one as well. However, her new costume is a tad more special, as it is a part of her birthday celebrations.
The devs explained on Discord: “Step into the future with Luna Snow’s 2099 Costume, where innovation meets timeless rhythm. Dominate the stage and the battlefield with her dazzling look, blending tech, style, and starlit charisma”.
They added: “On February 6th, we’re not just releasing Luna Snow’s striking 2099 Costume; we’re also continuing the festivities of her 7th Anniversary! Just a few weeks ago, on January 12th, we commemorated the incredible journey of our beloved K-Pop Super Hero, Luna Snow, reflecting on the passion and talent that have inspired fans around the world. This anniversary is a testament to her evolution and the profound impact she has made in both music and heroism”.
This skin will also drop on Friday, 7 February 2025, at 03:00. Also, as with Cap’s skin, the devs shared a short video to show off Luna’s new look. It perfectly fits her character, wouldn’t you agree?
One player, Roboface3000, noted: “Hey, never underestimate K-Pop power, they say”. Another player, Apprehensive-Ice9809 added: “Design-wise, there’s not really anything wrong with it, I like it. It’s just the colors that are slightly off and clashing. The effects are definitely a big selling point though”.
We truly appreciate the diversity of costumes in this game. It’s only been out for two months, yet there are plenty of costumes to choose from. So, at least players aren’t looking at the same designs while they wait for some new characters. Enjoy the game, and we’ll see you out there.
