Bandai has revealed a massive One Piece figure depicting the former 1st division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Polo Marco, better known as Marco the Phoenix. While not always ranked at the top of character popularity polls, Marco remains a beloved personality in the One Piece franchise, having aided Luffy and friends during the Marineford and Wano Country Arcs. Now, those seeking a stunning new piece of merch for their collection won’t be disappointed.
One Piece fans in North America are getting ready, as the first-ever One Piece Fest in the region will be held at Cosm Los Angeles from August 25 to August 26, 2026. The event will offer an immersive ‘Elbaph Experience,’ special performances, panels, exclusive merch, and more, with Toei Animation hoping to attract over 7,000 fans to the venue. Hiroshi Kitadani, the performer of the original theme song “We Are!,” will be in attendance, along with Ian Sinclair and Brina Palencia, the English voice actors behind Brook and Tony Tony Chopper, respectively. The Japanese event is slated to take place just days prior, so fans are sure to be overloaded with information and pirate-themed fun. Additionally, the main stage of Japan’s One Piece Day’26 festivities will be streamed for free on YouTube on August 22 and August 23.
New Polo Marco One Piece Figure Features the Character’s Phoenix State
Bandai’s official online store, Premium Bandai, is now listing the Portrait.Of.Pirates ONE PIECE “MAS-MAXIMUM” Whitebeard Pirates 1st Division Commander “Marco the Phoenix” figure, with those wanting to snag one for themselves asked to enter an ongoing lottery. (Those wanting to snag Marco for themselves, however, may want to keep an eye on eBay or find a proxy service to make things easier.) The stunning statue will retail for ￥37,400 (around $236) and stands approximately 315mm (12.4 inches) in height. Shipping is slated to begin in September 2026.
The One Piece manga series continues to pull in readers from around the world, with Oda teasing that the ending of Luffy’s journey is fast approaching. Kicking off nearly three decades ago in Weekly Shonen Jump, the series has sold over 600 million copies worldwide as of March 2026, making it the best-selling comic series in volume format and the best-selling manga series in history. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the author had written the secret of One Piece on a piece of paper, placed it inside a pressure-resistant glass sphere, and submerged it somewhere in the ocean. As of this writing, no one has been able to track it down (which is probably for the best).
On July 18, the popular entertainment chain Round1 kicked off its One Piece collab at over 100 locations in Japan and 59 locations in the US, with the fun scheduled to continue until October 17. Visitors can snag 27 exclusive pieces of merchandise and prizes featuring newly created artwork, along with a stunning set of 10 original trading cards from the One Piece Card Game. Participating locations also include special photo spots, themed crane games, exclusive beverages, and more.
