My Winter Car has plenty of ways to freeze your vehicle when you leave it overnight, but the Block Heater will help to keep it ready for you to use.
Having a frozen vehicle isn’t fun, especially if you have a job to attend or errand to run. Thankfully, the Block Heater prevents that from happening, but only when you know how to use it properly.
How to find the Block Heater in My Winter Car
Unlike the in-built car heater, the Block Heater is located on the outside of the vehicle. You have to use a wire to connect it to a power source. The wire leading from the front of the car in the following image is what you’ll expect to find.
You’ll find a power source at almost all important POIs, like your house. Park your car close to the power source so that you can connect the cable. Here’s how to use it properly once you have connected the wire to a power source.
How to use the Block Heater in My Winter Car
Park close to the power source and connect the wire. While the main heater inside your car requires the engine to remain on, the Block Heater doesn’t. The external source powers it so that you can turn off the engine.
As you sleep in your house overnight, the Block Heater will keep your car warm. However, you’ll still notice snow on the glasses (you can scrape that off easily by turning on the main heater when you’re driving the car). Disconnect the Block Heater by removing the wire (otherwise, your car won’t move from the parked spot).
The only remaining task for you is to turn on the ignition. If the Block Heater worked normally, the engine would begin immediately.
When should you use the Block Heater in My Winter Car
You should use the Block Heater whenever you’re parking your car for an extended period. This can be for when you sleep at night, or if you’re at the Futufon Office, working your main job. The winter conditions of the map will always make your car prone to getting a frozen engine. If you’re parking it for a short period of time, it’s unnecessary to use the Block Heater.
