Sasuke Uchiha has made a name for himself by taking down countless strong individuals in Naruto as well as Boruto. However, he wasn’t always so strong, and as a matter of fact, he struggled in a lot of fights. From a young age, Sasuke was heralded as a prodigy of the Uchiha Clan. Almost every single person within the clan, as well as the Hidden Leaf Village, was aware of Sasuke’s potential. When he entered the Academy, the gap between him and most of the other ninjas of his age became more apparent.

When he finally achieved what he had been working towards, instead of being able to celebrate it, he was pushed further into the darkness. Obito told him that Itachi was the scapegoat for the Hidden Leaf’s Massacre of the Uchiha clan. As a result, Sasuke changed his goal and decided to wipe out the entire hierarchy that had been responsible for his brother’s pain.
Isshiki Otsutsuki Is One Of The Best Dojutsu Users In Boruto
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Sasuke met Itachi again, and their last ever interaction proved to be vital in changing the former’s objective. After his mind was clear, Sasuke decided to help Naruto and the rest of the ninja alliance fight against Obito, Madara, and then finally Kaguya. In each victory, Sasuke’s contribution was immense and invaluable. The constant battles made Sasuke a better fighter and allowed him to gain mastery over the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan. By the time Boruto started, Sasuke had become one of the greatest ninjas in history and arguably the best Dojutsu user as well. However, as the sequel’s story has progressed, it has become increasingly clear that Sasuke is no longer unbeatable. In fact, Ikemoto has already revealed a better and stronger Dojutsu user than the Uchiha.
Isshiki Utsutsuki is undeniably stronger and better at using Dojutsu than Sasuke. As a member of the famed Otsutsuki clan, Isshiki had a ton of chakra and various unique abilities, one of which was the Kokugan. The Dojutsu granted Isshiki access to two special abilities. The first was Sukunahikona, which worked on a rather simple principle: any non-living object that Isshiki laid his eyes on could be shrunk nearly instantly. So any form of projectiles or weapons thrown towards him could be reduced to such a small size that they would become nearly insignificant and pose no real threat to Isshiki’s life. The Otsutsuki could also use this ability to set up surprise attacks, as he showcased in the fight against Naruto and Sasuke. Isshiki would launch small black rods towards his targets, which made them nearly undetectable. Once they got close, he would immediately restore them to their normal size, allowing them to deal more damage.

In addition to Sukonakona, Isshiki also had access to Daikokuten, which enabled him to seal away anything that had previously been shrunk. Anything affected by Daikokuten would be trapped in a dimension where time did not flow. The combination of these abilities truly made Isshiki invincible. In fact, it’s safe to say that the Otsutsuki would have beaten Naruto and Sasuke if Kishimoto hadn’t rescued him. The author gave Naruto access to the Baryon mode, which helped the hero reduce Isshiki’s remaining lifespan.
Boruto And Kawaki Will Overtake Sasuke Soon
Aside from Isshiki, two more characters can surpass Sasuke eventually: Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki. Boruto is a prodigy who has mastered several techniques in almost no time. He learned to use the Rasengan in record time, and on top of that, he was able to add Lightning Nature to it, although he did it unknowingly at first. As the protagonist of the series, it’s hardly surprising that he has been blessed with a plethora of different powers, one of which is a dojutsu called the Jogan. The eye allows him to see through the dimensional barriers as well as the chakra pathway systems. With the latter, Boruto can easily notice the changes in the flow of chakra, and he can also identify other people through their chakra signatures. The wielder of this Kekkei genkai can also access space-time ninjutsu, as it allows generating portals to different dimensions. The eye also seems to have immense analytical prowess. So Boruto can counter the opponent’s next move.
Initially, Kawaki did not possess a Dojutsu, but after regaining the karma, he was able to unlock it. Since he had Isshiki’s karma, his Dojutsu was the Kokugan. Due to his penchant for fighting, Kawaki has mastered almost all the techniques of the dojutsu, but there are still some areas where he needs to improve. However, there is no real shortcut to achieving it. Therefore, he will have to practice and gain more experience. By the time Boruto: Two Blue Vortex ends, both Kawaki and Boruto will have reached an inconceivable level that will likely put all the previous ninjas to shame. Naturally, this applies to Naruto and Sasuke as well. The two are living legends, but they will inevitably be surpassed by the next generation.
Naruto And Sasuke Deserve One Last Hurrah
However, before that happens, fans will be hoping that Ikemoto at least gives Naruto and Sasuke another opportunity to shine. Presently, both of them have been sidelined completely from the story. Naruto is trapped in another dimension where time doesn’t flow, while Sasuke has been merged with a god tree. As previously stated, both of them are iconic characters who deserve much more, so the author should rectify his mistakes and bring both of them back into the fray. Their return will not only reignite the interest of fans in the sequel, but it will also allow the author to experiment with new ideas. One more thing that Ikemoto needs to do is give both Naruto and Sasuke new power-ups.
After all, he was the one who took away their greatest powers in the first place. He robbed Sasuke of his Rinnegan while Naruto lost the Nine-Tails. To make things worse, Naruto thought of the Nine-Tails as more than just a weapon. He considered it a friend, and the tailed beast felt the same way. There have been rumors suggesting that the author might decide to tap into Naruto’s Uzumaki lineage and give him an overpowered sealing jutsu, while Sasuke might benefit from a special ninja tech. These are just popular theories at the moment, and nothing has been set in stone, so fans should keep their expectations grounded. At the same time, they can hope that Naruto and Sasuke will receive much better treatment in the near future.
