You get home after a long and tiring day. You finally get a chance to sit down and relax for a while, maybe you even have enough time to start up your favorite game. There aren’t many things as relaxing and enjoyable as turning off all real-life stress for a few hours and concentrating on a game. However, every game has some annoying aspects which can ruin the player’s experience. Marvel Rivals is no different, and the players share what makes this amazing game quite frustrating at times.
What Annoys You the Most in Marvel Rivals?
The good thing about team-based games that players absolutely adore is the fact that they aren’t alone. So, even when things get stressful, you can count on some support from your teammates. And, thankfully, the Marvel Rivals community truly blossomed in these first two months.
Players often have quite strong stances on important topics, such as in-game misogyny or standing up for themselves under peer pressure. So, we were pleased to see the community come together and share their pet peeves.
Now, let’s start with the most obvious one. Vherstinae noted: “The godawfully slow walk back to the fight after you get killed. It feels like everyone needs to be faster in base movement”. Hundreds of players (including us!) agreed with this statement. No one likes missing out, thus the majority of players would love for this to change.
Next, we have the Ult charge rate, and numerous inconsistencies surrounding Ults. LurkingPhoEver stated: “Cloak and Dagger’s ult vanishes if you kill them, but Rocket’s persists through death. Winter Soldier can reset his ult on Loki clones but Magik and Panther don’t generate shield from them. Hela gets to live if she’s killed in her ultimate but other transforming ults aren’t treated similarly”.
Of course, the ping wheel had to make the list. DullAd8348 said: ” I play on high DPI and low in-game sense and I can’t ping without pulling up the damn wheel. I want to unbind the wheel to some other key because I don’t use it anyway. I would love to be able to ping enemies”.

Other Players Can Be Quite Frustrating
Now, as with any team-based game, various people play this game. Probably the most frustrating aspect of Marvel Rivals can be the players themselves. Sure, some players are just simply annoying, but sometimes you just don’t click with someone.
If you are a Vanguard hero, you already know how annoying it can be. YourPowersAreMine noted: “When the vanguard created the entire yellow brick road worth of space but nobody’s pushing up with them”. However, Vanguards aren’t the only character category that feels underappreciated. Support mains have lots of trouble with players taking them for granted.
One player, No-Jaguar-4404, pointed out another frustrating flaw. They stated: “People give up so easily. It’s always blame blame blame when one single team fight doesn’t go your way”. Playing with players with a different understanding of the game can be quite a lot.
So, remember that you’re (in most cases) playing with real people. Some have had a bad day, others have different priorities. Don’t take it too personally if there’s a disagreement around something. Try to enjoy the game and let others enjoy it as well. We’ll see you out there.
