Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Has Delayed Another Game

The developers of CloverPit have delayed the game due to the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong. The sequel to the acclaimed 2017 game, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a release date set by Team Cherry, following years of anticipation and speculation from fans.

Due to the high expectations, other developers are choosing not to release their games close to September 4, which is when Team Cherry will drop its anticipated game. That is the case with Talegames, which delayed Faeland because of Hollow Knight: Silksong. An RPG inspired by classic 8-bit games, Faeland was set to launch a few days after Silksong, but the developers decided to change that so their project could receive “the attention and care it deserves.” Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and this time, another title has had its release pushed back because of Hornet’s upcoming adventure.

CloverPit is Another Game Delayed Because of Hollow Knight: Silksong

Panik Arcade has postponed the release of CloverPit to Friday, September 26. In a note on CloverPit‘s Steam page, the developers explain that the decision was made so that the game’s launch would not be overshadowed, since it was scheduled to arrive on September 3, one day before Hollow Knight: Silksong comes out. The note goes on to say that the decision was made to give the game its best chance, and that despite the change, Panik Arcade will use the extra time to work on CloverPit. They also hope to count on the support of players at launch.

CloverPit is a roguelite inspired by indie games such as the hit Balatro and Buckshot Roulette, in which players find themselves trapped in a nightmare of their own making. Locked in a dilapidated cell with only an ATM and a slot machine, they must pay their debts or face disastrous consequences. To avoid this terrifying fate, players must manipulate the machine to earn extra coins, use more than 150 items and various synergies to create combos, and pay off their captors long enough to have a shot at freedom.

While CloverPit waits to be released, players eagerly await Hollow Knight: Silksong and the new adventure centered on Hornet. Captured and taken to a distant kingdom, Hornet will face more than 200 enemies with the help of new weapons, traps, and deadly combos. Players will also encounter a new cast of NPCs and gorgeous 2D scenery. Additionally, the game will feature the talent of Christopher Larkin, the acclaimed composer who worked on the Hollow Knight soundtrack.
