Fortnite‘s long-awaited Demon Slayer collaboration may release later this season, according to one prominent leaker. Crossover skins have been a staple of the free-to-play shooter for years, so there is always plenty of speculation surrounding which other properties will be coming to the game next. While Fortnite has yet to make an official announcement, some think a Demon Slayer collab is just around the corner.
The latest Fortnite season started on August 7, and it’s already turned out to be a big one. Dubbed “Shock ‘N Awesome,” Chapter 6 Season 4 has been chock-full of big collabs in its first few weeks, kicking things off with Halo and Power Ranger skins and revealing a handful of new weapons. Before the season is over, it could also bring one rumored collab that fans have been awaiting for a long time.
Demon Slayer Could Come to Fortnite Later This Season
Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR posted on Twitter that Demon Slayer content could be coming to the game later in Chapter 6 Season 4. While they didn’t provide specific details beyond that, the rumor supposedly stems from a source who told another leaker, Blortzen, about several collabs from this season and the last that turned out to be true. ShiinaBR first suggested that Fortnite would get Demon Slayer crossover content nearly a year ago. Another source claiming the collab is imminent could make the rumor more believable, but all that time with no update could also mean players should take the leak with a grain of salt.
The current season has already confirmed other crossover rumors. Epic Games’ Shock ‘N Awesome debut trailer confirmed Fortnite‘s rumored Power Rangers collab mere weeks after leaks started to emerge. Rumblings of a Demon Slayer collaboration have been swirling for much longer, so fans have had plenty of time to get excited about the possibility. If this latest update is true, they won’t have to wait long to enjoy it. Of course, even if it does happen this season, it’s unclear when specifically that will be.
Beyond Demon Slayer, there are other potential anime crossovers to keep an eye out for. ShiinaBR has also claimed that Fortnite will receive One Punch Man skins in the near future, noting that these cosmetics are already in the game’s files. Many other anime skins have popped up in the game before, so all of these leaks seem believable on the surface.
