Tokyo Game Show 2025 countdown: Exact date and time, complete game lineup, and more

We might be done with gamescom 2025, but the summer of video games is heating up with Tokyo Game Show 2025 up next.

From the western lands of Germany, we switch over to the land of the rising sun in September, when Tokyo will become host to one of the biggest global video game conventions. We are still a few weeks away (at the time of writing on Aug. 25), and the first major announcements have started to appear from different developers.

Let’s first take a look at when the event takes place.

Tokyo Game Show 2025 countdown

Tokyo Game Show 2025 is a physical event that will take place at the end of September. Still, you can expect plenty of livestreams and virtual events happening simultaneously.

The upcoming event will be broken into two parts: Business and Public. The Business events will take place on Sept. 25 and 26, while the Public events will happen on Sept. 27 and 28. The following countdown marks the start of the Public days, as that’s when most of the streams typically take place.
