The next big PS5 exclusive game, Ghost of Yotei, launches on October 2. To celebrate the open-world action game’s imminent release, Sony announced a limited edition Ghost of Yotei-themed PS5 console and accessories that will launch alongside the game. The lineup includes two PS5 Slim models featuring faceplates with traditional Japanese Sumi-e ink illustrations inspired by the game. There are gold and black ink versions of the console, which will be available in bundles that include special edition DualSense controllers featuring matching color schemes. The Ghost of Yotei-themed faceplates and controllers will also be available separately from the console bundles. Preorders for the lineup start September 4 at 10 a.m. The gold version of the Ghost of Yotei limited edition PS5 gear will be available at multiple online retailers, including PlayStation Direct, while the black versions are exclusive to PlayStation Direct.

This bundle gets you a PS5 Slim model with a disc drive, the limited edition faceplates, and the Ghost of Yotei Edition DualSense controller. As mentioned above, there will be two versions available–a gold version and a black version. Both feature all the same artwork and include the same accessories. The only difference is the color scheme. You can preorder the black version exclusively at PlayStation Direct starting September 4 at 10 a.m. local time, while the gold version will be available at PlayStation Direct and select other storefronts–though specific retailer availability has not be announced. Either way, Sony says these bundles will only be available in limited quantities, so if you’re looking to grab one, you’ll want to be ready for when preorders open.

If you already own a PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro, you can pick up a set of the new limited edition faceplates to swap onto your console. Once again, there are black and gold versions of the faceplates, both of which feature off-white plastic with Sumi-e illustrations of the Yotei region and the Ghost of Yotei logo emblem emblazoned on the lower corner. Both versions of the faceplates will be available for consoles with a disc drive and digital edition consoles.

Both gold and black versions of the Ghost of Yotei Gold Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller will be available standalone as well. These gamepads sport unique designs that match the Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition faceplates, with ink brush strokes on the handles and a silhouette illustration of the game’s main playable character, Atsu, on the touch pad. The controllers include all the usual features of the standard DualSense Wireless Controller, including haptic rumble, adaptive triggers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Since the bundles do not include a copy of Ghost of Yotei, you’ll probably want to preorder a copy of the game while you’re at it. The game is available in a $70 standard edition you can pick up physically, as well as an $80 Digital Deluxe Edition that includes a selection of in-game items, and a massive $250 Collector’s Edition that comes with several physical collectibles, including replica’s of Atsu’s Ghost Mask, sash, and katana tsuba guard, a foldable origami ginkgo tree, and more. Preordering any version of the game gets you a bonus in-game mask and PSN avatars of Atsu and the Yotei Six villains she hunts down throughout the game.
