One Piece Creator Oda Has Officially Replaced The Monster Trio

On September 6, 2026, One Piece chapter 1192 showed the counterattack of Elbaf against Nerona Imu, the wielder of the Akuma no Mi and the King of the World. Imu officially descended upon Elbaf in One Piece chapter 1179, which was released on April 5, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue #19.

Since then, Imu has been utterly dominant, defeating one fighter after another, including Monkey D. Luffy, the protagonist of the series. Now, however, Luffy is resurgent, and along with him are two fellow warriors who have officially created the new strongest trio in Elbaf. This trio is that of Luffy, Loki, and Ragnir, who once again combined to not only deal Imu damage in One Piece chapter 1192 but also break through the Shield of Emptiness created using the fusion of the legendary swords Tohu and Vohu.

One Piece Chapter 1192 Officially Unveils The New Strongest Trio Against Imu

One Piece chapter 1192 was significant when it came to the ongoing battle against the Holy Knights and the King of the World, Nerona Imu, in Elbaf. Up until now, the vast majority of the fighters going up against Imu were doing so single-handedly. We saw quite a lot of one-on-one battles against Nerona Imu, but starting with One Piece chapter 1191, these fighters are now essentially teaming up, knowing that Imu cannot be defeated in a one-on-one battle as things stand.

In One Piece chapter 1192, which was released officially on September 6, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #41, Eiichiro Oda showcased Loki, Ragnir, and Luffy combining to create what is easily one of the strongest attacks in the entire series. Loki holds the power of the Mythical Zoan Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, which is an incredibly powerful ability that was revealed to us first in One Piece chapter 1175. Meanwhile, Ragnir has access to the power of the Mythical Zoan Risu Risu no Mi, Model: Ratatoskr, which is another legendary Mythical Zoan ability said to work best in synergy with Nidhoggr.

Loki: What are you???

Luffy: I’m coming for you, Devil!!! You can’t have Elbaf!

Finally, there is the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, which is a legendary power that was officially introduced in One Piece chapter 1044, on March 28, 2022. Together, these three powers combined to create a blazing-fast strike, which dealt a lot of damage to the King of the World, Nerona Imu. As things stand, Luffy, Loki, and Ragnir are the strongest trio in Elbaf, surpassing even the Monster Trio of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Why Loki, Ragnir, and Luffy Surpass The Monster Trio

Luffy, Loki, and Ragnir easily surpass the Monster Trio in terms of strength. Both trios have Luffy, but other than him, the difference in strength between the rest is significant. The Monster Trio, while being incredibly strong, is still a work in progress. Neither Zoro nor Sanji has fully mastered their Color of the Supreme King. As such, in a life-or-death battle against the likes of the Holy Knights and stronger enemies, these two would struggle. Zoro and Sanji have a way to go before they fully master their Haki and reach the same level as Loki.

As far as the other trio goes, there is Loki, who is a War God with the power to destroy the world. On the other hand, the Ice Squirrel Ratatoskr should not be underestimated either.

One Piece chapter 1170, which was officially released on January 5, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Double Issue #6-7, officially confirmed to us that nobody in the history of the Giants of Elbaf was able to defeat Ragnir and earn its recognition to consume the Nidhoggr Devil Fruit. Even Harald did not consider himself strong enough to claim the fruit until the point where he was granted the powers of the Covenant by Nerona Imu. Loki was able to tie a battle with Ragnir, which then allowed him to consume the Nidhoggr Devil Fruit. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that even Ragnir by itself is strong enough to fight against Zoro and Sanji and, in many cases, even overwhelm them.

Even without Ragnir, however, Loki is stronger than both Zoro and Sanji put together, and that goes without saying. All things considered, Luffy, Loki, and Ragnir easily form the new strongest trio in One Piece, and their strength was clear for us to see in One Piece chapter 1192 when they launched a powerful offensive against Imu. Together, these three ended up creating the Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Bullet, which managed to do the impossible and break through Imu’s Shield of Emptiness: Tohu Va Vohu, created using the fusion of the legendary swords Tohu and Vohu. The concept of Emptiness itself being shattered by this attack goes to show the immense strength of this trio.

Zoro and Sanji Will Close The Gap With Luffy Soon

While the Monster Trio is certainly weaker than the Elbaf Trio that is currently fighting against Nerona Imu, it must be said that they will soon catch up. By the end of One Piece, the Monster Trio has to be the single most powerful trio to ever exist in the story. Their ceiling is incredibly high, but they simply haven’t fulfilled their potential yet. Elbaf is certainly here to aid the growth of both Zoro and Sanji significantly by giving them full mastery over the power of the Color of the Supreme King. As things stand, both Zoro and Sanji are trying their best to master this power and defeat the Holy Knights. As they do that, they will gain tremendous strength and finally close the gap with other legends like the Admirals, the Yonko, and even the likes of Loki.

In fact, by the end of One Piece, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that the likes of Zoro and Sanji will be stronger than even Loki. In terms of overall power, these three will have to be relative to Monkey D. Luffy in terms of strength, just as Rayleigh and Gaban were relative to Roger, the Pirate King. The sky is the limit for the Monster Trio, and they will go on to reach great heights in the future.
