Overseas fans aren’t being left out, as Kojima Productions has confirmed that the festivities will be livestreamed, with special guests slated to appear alongside details regarding future game projects.

Hideo Kojima found incredible success this year with the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which managed to overtake Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as the highest-rated game on the PlayStation Store immediately after its launch. The action-adventure RPG currently boasts an average score of 90 on OpenCritic, with fans praising Kojima’s bizarre title for its gameplay improvements over the original Death Stranding, along with its emotional story and its incredible graphical prowess. Now, the studio behind the beloved title is preparing to celebrate a major milestone, and all fans are invited to be a part of the upcoming event.

Kojima Productions has announced the “Beyond the Strand” event on September 23, which will commemorate the studio’s 10th anniversary. The festivities will be held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills SCREEN7, with tickets available via a lottery system via Lawson Ticket. For overseas fans, the event will be livestreamed from 12:00 AM – 2:30 AM EST / 9:00 PM – 11:30 PM PST. According to the official website, Hideo Kojima will act as host, and several special guests will appear over the course of the night. Fans can also expect to learn more about some of Kojima Productions’ future projects. The event will take place just two days before Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will see strong showings from Sony and Capcom, with the former promising to share more details about Ghost of Yotei and the latter scheduled to highlight Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata.

While it’s unclear which future projects will be highlighted during the event, many fans are hoping to learn more about the Metal Gear spiritual successor, Physint. In a May interview, Kojima confirmed that the title is largely being developed due to fan feedback, as players have long requested another espionage game from the esteemed developer. Physint is currently in early development, and according to Kojima, it may take another five or six years before it is completed.
