The leaked Thief Remastered campaign is real, and Nightdive just gave it a name and a reveal date

Nightdive Studios has officially confirmed The Tarnished Mirror, a new campaign for its upcoming Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, days after the name leaked through a mass Steam achievements leak.

The studio broke the news with a very tongue-in-cheek, self-aware teaser video about how the reveal actually came about, which you can see below:

As spotted by PC Gamer, the teaser trailer opens by acknowledging the flood of leak speculation, then closes on Garrett character art from illustrator Alexandru “Dominus” Negoita and the new Tarnished Mirror logo. A full reveal is promised for 2nd November.

In the teaser, Garrett says: “Huh…not so secret anymore, is it?”

Nightdive stopped short of detailing what, exactly, The Tarnished Mirror actually involves, beyond confirming its existence and name. That’s presumably what the November reveal is for.

Nightdive first announced Thief: The Dark Project Remastered back in June, promising visual upgrades, quality of life improvements like a weapon wheel and mission selector, and 4K/120fps support.
