Clover Legends Grimoire & Race Tier List

Clover Legends Grimoire & Race Tier List

Your Grimoire and Race choice make up the majority of your build in Clover Legends. I’ll show you the best Grimoires where there’s room for playstyle preference and then best Races where there’s a more linear choice of the best pick. Here’s my Clover Legends Grimoire and Race tier list.

Clover Legends Grimoire Tier List

All Clover Legends Grimoires Ranked

The best Grimoires in Clover Legends are mostly rarity based with the higher rarities simply being better. There’s some nuance for PVP but for PVE you basically just want Mythicals and Legendaries. There are some decent Rares but that’s about it. Check out the individual ranking reasons below.

What Does Awakening Do: You start out with Grade 0 with the Z skill and every Awakening tier upgrade from I to V increases damage, crit chance/damage, unlocks new skills and finally the ultimate skill at Awaken V.

S-Tiers Grimoires

Grimoires Ranking Notes

Light Grimoire
Mythical
• The best Grimoire in the game in terms of pure damage
• The cooldowns require a bit of management but it’s the best burst damage you can get in the game
• It amazing against single enemies and slightly worse than AMG for AOE

Anti-Magic Grimoire
Mythical
• The top 2 Grimoire in the game
• It’s ocassionally better than Light depending on the sitation since Anti Magic has better AOE
• Plus it’s a beast for PVP with the anti-magic domain

A-Tiers Grimoires

Grimoires Ranking Notes

Dark Grimoire
Legendary
• Amazing cooldowns and sustained DPS making it the top 3 Grimoire in Clover Legends
• It’s also got great CCs and good range

World Tree Grimoire
Legendary
• S-Tier Meta when you play in a group and a bit lower alone
• You have a ton of heals and crowd control while not losing out on damage too much
• It’s actually pretty strong in PVP too

Lightning Grimoire
Rare
• The best sustained damage amongst Rares and competes slightly with Legendaries
• You have amazing skill spamming rotations, great chaining damage and mobility
• The best beginner Grimoire that you can get more easily than Legendaries and Mythicals

Chain Grimoire
Rare
• The fifth best Grimoire in the game IMO
• Just solid damage with low cooldowns and a great CC effect with the cage

B-Tiers Grimoires

Grimoires Ranking Notes

Plant Grimoire
Rare
• Quite decent for a solo playthrough early to mid game since you can sustain yourself a lot
• Plus, you have a great AOE move for PVE farming

Poison Grimoire
Rare
• Can potentially dish out great DoT damage if given time to spam and stack up
• That said the moves aren’t as fast as Lightning so I put it in a lower tier
• Still quite decent if you cannot get higher-tier Grimoires

C-Tiers Grimoires

Grimoires Ranking Notes

Earth Grimoire
Rare
• The weakest Rare with low range and okay damage
• It focuses on defense too much and takes away your DPS
• It can be useful sometimes when you want to avoid burst damage but overall it’s not the best

Fire Grimoire
Common
• The best starter Grimoire and quite alright as you start grinding PVE
• Look to replace it when you can though since the damage potential gets outscaled quickly

Water Grimoire
Common
• Similar to Fire where it’s okay to start with but gets outscaled quite fast by other Grimoires once you start upgrading them

D-Tiers Grimoires

Grimoires Ranking Notes

Wind Grimoire
Common
• The weakest Grimoire in the game in terms of PVE
• Can be okay in PVP due to its combos but it’s really not an optimal moveset for reliable damage

Clover Legends Race Tier List

The best race in Clover Legends is simply the overall Devil race since they get a damage boost but there are decent alternatives if you’re not lucky to get them. Specifically, the High Elf race boosts your DPS in a decent way with Cooldown Reduction. Other than that the racial boosts are minor and not the most powerful unless you like the cash/XP boosts from Dwarf and Human.

Best Race: All Devil sub-races are the best races in the game followed by the High Elf’s CD reduction and Seraph’s crit chance. If you want progression boosters, go for Human/Dwarf subraces based on your needs.

S-Tier Races

True Devil +15% Damage

A-Tier Races

Noble Human +10% XP
+5% Mastery XP
Human +5% XP
Half-Dwarf +20% Chest Loot
Half-Elf +5% Max Mana

That’s it for my Clover Legends Grimoire and Race tier list guide. You can combine the A and S-Tier Grimoires with any of the Devil races for the best build in the game. That said, the High-Elf can also work quite well with top-tier Grimoires that have long cooldowns if you can’t get any of the Devil sub-races.
